Went down Homebase and bought some black mesh and some Velcro
Works a treat
So we have fresh air in the Lounge without them escaping !!

did you make a wooden frame? How big are your moggies - need to do the upstairs windows

i thought ur cats went out ?
how much did it cost ? was it easy to do?

Another thing you can do instead of screens is use window locks:

They do go out but only for a short lenght of time (lost 3 to RTA) and they are always in once it starts to get dark.
It was soooooo easy !!
Velcro cost £10
Mesh £1.89
And that was enough to do 2 windows
I stuck one side of the velcro to the window frame, cut the mesh to fit and then stuck the other side of velcro to the mesh and BINGO works a treat

Would that be strong enough if say they stood up on their back legs and leant on it..... Thats what my two do and we are looking to get frames for upstairs as it is sweltering at night now.

Well so far so good !!
They have of course tried that but it seems to hold - fingers crossed

I really dont think id be happy with mesh screens because i reckon my cats would break it in a second
they break everything else after all
i think ill b happier with the window locks that allow the window to be open about 2inches

I've had to go back to the drawing board as well on this Forever, I think my boy would break out in about 5 mins. Keep us posted with the window lock idea, as I'm going to look into this as well.
