Title: Buster collar alternative?
Post by: sixfurballs on November 10, 2010, 15:31:13 PM
Haven't been here for ages and looks so different.

Anyway - to the question - it's from another forum so I said would ask here as always had good advice. A female kitten has been spayed and can't keep the buster collar on her, every time she gets it off has a go at the wound. A comfy collar has been ordered but any suggestions for what to do in meantime?

Suggest they speak to the vet, sounds like the collar is too big for the size of the kitten or not put on properly.

Yes Purrs has had a makeover  ;D

How are they securing the actual cone? As Gill says it sounds like they maybe have the wrong size if she is able to get it off.

 :welcome: back btw

How about one of those little baby gro things? you would probably have to undo the poppers when she needs to "go" :-:
