Read that in my paper this morning, my reaction along with pathetic and get a life was why was the postie sticking his fingers through in the first place, surely he can push the post through without sticking his hand in or is that too sensible :-:

having recently pushed hundreds of missing cat flyers through doors I can safely say that it's often necessary to use your fingers all the way through as some people's letterboxes are ridiculous!! I had several cuts from the letterboxes,... maybe I'll sue :evillaugh: :sneaky:

I think they should put all Postmen through a
" Playful Kitty awareness course and enlighten them in the Dangers of sticking fingers through small gaps " :naughty:

Brilliant I tried to persuade Amber she should attack any fingers through the letter box after a 'child' stuck his hand through and was obviously feeling around for a key on a string some years ago. She never got the hint though and thankfully the 'neighbours' from that time moved on a moonlight flit :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

I know a while back it was on the local news where a postman and Royal Mail refused to deliver mail as the cat would dive out of the catflap and attack the postman everyday and chase him down the garden so they received a letter telling them they would have to pick mail up from the sorting office. Doh they were OK delivering that letter and took the risk of the cat attacking them to deliver that one

Our postman looked gutted when I told him about Thimble being missing, he loved her, she always came out to be nosy and say hello when he came with post :) In fact he uses the catflap for parcels! as we have it at the front door as it's a flat :P

I think I've told this story before...
A few years ago the postman knocked at my door, I opened it to find him standing there with a bleeding finger shouting " your dog has just bitten me"
I told him I didn't have a dog and picked up the nearest cat which happened to be lala as a kitten!
Well he was embarrassed but said he was reporting me!
I took advice and was told I needed to put a sign on the door.... So I had a " beware of the cat" sign made rofl
