My little chocolate foster kittens are coming on in leaps and bounds (literally! :tired: ) now, much more socialised, although one is still not sure about being handled (Crunchie), but at least I CAN handle him now.
Here are the Coco Pops, from left to right Chunky, Crunchie and Cookie

Nice one Helen
Gillian they are so yummy - so much for you NOT knowing how to look after kittens - the advise from Teresa, Lesley and others must have really sunk in.
It would be great if someone took all 3 of them together.
When I saw the title I thought it was gonna be one of your lot covered in chocolate

I'm just winging it really lol! they're still not using the litter trays (thats 4 trays now :tired: ) properly (well, one in particular - mentioning no names, but its Cookie :evillaugh: ). I've tried different litters, different positions for the trays, increased numbers of trays.......but he will go right next to the tray :Arrrrh: If I catch him in the act I quickly pick up and put in tray, but he still doesnt get it! I've got them in the dining room now (vinyl floor) as I discovered that they had been going behind the sofa I've got in my workroom and leaving little deposits on the carpet.
Making good progress with mum cat Coco - she will allow me to stroke her now and she purrs a lot, but she doesnt like any sudden moves. She's still upstairs in the workroom and is much happier without the kittens bothering her! Booked in for speying and blood testing on Monday :scared:
They do look very similar in the photos, but Chunky is still twice the size of the other two in fact. :)
-
They are yummy! :Luv: I want Cookie but tbh I'm not fussed - any of them will do!

Chunky (to be renamed Butch!) and Cookie (new name - Ollie) are going to their new home together tomorrow. I've had real problems getting their tums sorted, they've had diarrhea and flu - back and forth to vets, antibiotics, probiotics etc. Tried different diets, had them on plain chicken mince for a while, nothing seemed to work. So they've been on a veterinary diet for the past week and fingers crossed seems to be working. The new owners now about all the probs and will be keeping them on this diet for the time being. The new owners are lovely and when they came to see the kittens, they brought a couple of fleeces for them to sleep on in the meantime, so that they have something familiar when they go to their new home, which I thought was nice. :)
Crunchie (the more timid of the 3 - but loads better than he was) has someone coming to see him at the weekend, so hopefully he won't be left on his own for too long. Coco, their mum, also has someone coming to see her at the weekend.
So I will be getting my dining room and workroom back very soon I hope!
-
Butch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My goodness!
So pleased that they have a new home and also possibly the other two.......great work and hells bells I am not going to be able to see them in the fur .......sigh
-
2 kittens gone, 1 kitten to go! ;) he's lonely now :(
-
glad you are slowly reclaiming your home Gillian - hope you are doing ok

Getting there thanks :thanks: Still miss George so much though. I saw a tabby for rehoming at bath cats and dogs home not far from me, he looked the image of George I was nearly tempted, but its silly really - he's not George and there'll never be another like him.
Crunchie kitten was so lonely yesterday evening, I couldnt bear his little face looking so sad at me through the dining room glass doors, I let him have a little run around in the lounge - he had a lovely time and he absolutely adores Joe, keeps running up to him and rubbing all round him, Joe seems to like him too :Luv:
-
omg keep stuff like that quiet :evillaugh:

LOL! no, its ok, Crunchie has someone coming to see him at the weekend, I'm sure she'll want him......... ;)
-
Glad that two have been rehomed, and fingers crossed for the viewing, although I would be surprised if they didn't fall in love with him. Good luck for mum too.

Yes, they did fall in love with him, so my little boy - oops, I mean their little boy ;) will be going to his new home on Wednesday. My goodness, I didnt think I'd get so attached to little Crunchie, but I think its that I've seen so much change in him from the terrified, cringeing, hissing little kitten when he first arrived - to the loving, purry, cuddly, happy little boy he is now. :Luv2: :Luv2: Its a good home he's going to - but oh hec, this is hard.....
-
Thats wonderful ;D
What about mum..............no not you silly
-

-
Now this says all have homes is Mummy Chocie being added to the list :sneaky:
-
Oh no, thats not what I meant!!! (if anything I would have loved to keep Crunchie kitten :Luv2: :Luv2: ) - no I meant about the people that came to view Coco - they also want to see a couple of other cats that are with another fosterer before deciding.
-

Little Crunchie (new name Sheldon) went to his new home this afternoon - all morning I was hoping they'd phone to say they'd changed their minds! :innocent: I hope he settles in ok, its such a big upheaval for him.
-
He'll be fine Gillian, the ones we worry about the most are the ones that get to their new home and ignore us like we were someone they dont even know, much less spent months caring for.
