Save them to Photobucket and resize them. Then re-upload. That's what I have to do ;)
http://photobucket.com/
Once your pics are on there, hover the mouse at the top of the pic, click on resize and usually it resizes it to approx 769 x 1024. Save it and then it should upload on here without a problem

I have a resizer on the PC that lets you resize them first so you could either a) post them straight on here using the 'browse' function or b) upload them to photobucket quicker (as they are smaller) then post the IMG link.
Here's the free resizer I use, it tales a minute to download then every time you right click a photo there will now be an option 'VSO image resizer' so no need to open up a sep program or anything like that. I select one of the preset sizes (640 x 480) and it makes a smaller copy stored in the same place in a split second, you can resize whole batches by selecting more than one photo and it will do them all in a second..

Do a search for irfan view, its free and great and I prefer to photobucket cos the pics all stay on your puta and not affected when photobucket has a scream and scream lol.
Make pics 650 pixels on largest side and that usually copes with all photos and you will have no probs getting them on Purrs.
You will even be able to put on captions for the next Cat Show

He is the one that has had the medical problems which is gradually getting sorted and no recurrance of his FLUTD and incontinence problems since then are improving even though he would not eat food with meds on for the incontinence. Was a good job I never did squirt it down his throat as could of lost him :(
