Maybe I'm being cynical but has anyone else's furries become a whole lot cuddlier now the cold weather has arrived??
Maizie seems a lot keener on cuddling on my knee now it's so bloomin cold!! Coincidence? I think not!
-
Mine have now noticed the duvet covers....they keep trying to crawl underneath! :evillaugh:
-
Yes quite normal for them to want to keep warm and had 3 lying against me last night and Sasa is spending most days on the bed but wish she would clean her feet first
-
Cooper wiped his pooey bum on the bed last night! Yeah, thanks a bunch Coops! :evillaugh:
-
Yes, yes and OMG yes!!!
Also the bed under the dining room radiator which had been unoccupied all spring and summer seems to have a fluffy black and white attachment now :tired: oddly enough, the fluffy attachment seems to have appeared rigt around the time the heating came on for the first time a week ago.

Ours love their winter duvets and electric blankets and are eating us out of house and home in fact I currently have ferals eating dog biscuits
-
Yup! Dave slept glued at chest level to me last night, he's been progressing up from knee level all week, I'm just waiting for him to crawl underneath now!
Chilli is still stoically sleeping on the sofa but is spending more time in than out and no doubt come the coldest of evenings she will admit defeat and deign Dave worthy of sharing bed space with her again :evillaugh:

Yes!
Riley is very affectionate and quite cuddly normally but he has never been a full on 'sit on your knee' type cat. Yesterday I got in from work and sat down, while I waited for the heating to come on I put a little fleece over my legs. He sat on my knee and wouldn't get off which in turn meant I fell asleep upright as I was so tired! :evillaugh:
-
I'm too much of skinflint to keep the heating on, so I'm really grateful for Coops and Peanut sitting on my knee, acting like a living hot water bottle!
-
I had this as my Facebook status tonight, I said you can tell winter is on the way because Pepsi came and sat in the crook of my arm tonight. She normally comes for a cuddle, stands on me, turns around a few dozen times, and then jumps off again but she just settled and snuggled right in :Luv: Last winter I had the duvet downstairs most of the time because I'm always cold and she would just come and snuggle with me for hours whereas during the summer she'd stretch out on the cool surface of the computer monitor so I'm quite looking forward to having my lovely furry purry hot water bottle again!

I think Franta wants to get inside my skin

Oh yes!!! Poot is usually fairly cuddly anyway, but no as soon as he sees a lap, particularly if there's a fleecy blanket on it, he's there for the evening :Luv:
He came up during the night as well which is not so usual, and he was snuggled up next to me under the duvet for ages :)

Yes! Rossi has never been particularly cuddly in the 5 1/2 months we've had him - usually a quick hello cuddle after work and lots of stroking and chin rubs, but for the past 3 nights he's wanted to be on the sofa leaning on us, or on one of our knees (which is also a first as he's never gone to my hubby for a cuddle before). He's even taken to sitting next to wherever Joey is to get even more warmth (Joey is staying with us for a while but has made himself right at home from day one, spending all evening on the sofa and then coming up to bed with us!).

This is the first time we've had the quilt down this winter, so here's some proof for you

:Luv: :Luv: I love Pepsi, she looks so comfy there!
-
my two haven't moved from the bed underneath the radiator - Jessie also likes sleeping in the carrier we keep next to a radiator - it's got a fleece in it and is safe from her pesky bro', so she loves it even more when the heating is on ;D
The downside is that, halfway through the night, Cosmo likes to come up next to me but won't have the duvet over him (or me), which means I get very cold down one side. I will have to dig out some PJs with long sleeves :tired:
-
~Wow Pepsi is a cutie, she looks very comfy there :evillaugh:
I actually have a rare photo of alll four cats co existing on the bed together tucked in around me which never happens (normally always have 2 or 3 though - Gerti is a shy one) I have a photo even though I was sleeping at the time as OH delighted in taking 'evidence' to prove that it happened (and obviously am looking very glamourous in that particular photo!)
-
Spare cat didnt give me much of a chance to delude myself - last week woke up early enough to hear the heating come on (only been on a few nights) and quiet as it is, spare cat heard it and jumped straight off to wait on her duvet for the radiators to warm up! much clever than i give her credit for :evillaugh:

Dave is currently snuggled into my legs (I'm in bed) and Chilli is taking every opportunity to snooze on me or next to me when I'm on the sofa :Luv2: She hasn't been this snuggly for ages so had to take a couple of pics while I had the chance!

Very cute pics Dancer!
Btw, is that a pair of animal print shoes I spy on the floor?? Me likey! ;)
-
Jess and Milo are lap cats anyway :Luv:
But we always know when it gets colder as Milo will happily come to bed with us and get under the duvet too :Luv2: usually results in Hubby and I balancing on the edges and Milo stretched out between us snoring away. Jess isn't as bad and will sleep wherever.
