No soon as I had given the bathroom a good deep clean - I was a good girl and even scrubbed the walls with Trigene :evillaugh: - than one of the Herne Bay vets called to say someone had handed in some 'timid' kittens. Would we take them as the RSPCA, who they usually deal with, were swamped. :tired:
They were described as 6-8 weeks. I think 8 weeks is more accurate. 2 black girls, 1 grey boy. 'Timid' doesn't even come close... 'Come within 2 feet and I'll have your eyes out, darling' is nearer the truth.  I guess they are in the right place.. can't have those nice RSPCA people being hissed at, can we? :innocent:
-
Am so imagine Craig Revel-Horewood saying that :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
Seriously though, they'll come round in no time with you, I'm sure
-
Awwww. I'm sure you'll have them eating out of the palm of your hand in no time.
:Luv:

Am so imagine Craig Revel-Horewood saying that :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
Funnily enough I was thinking of him when I wrote it! :evillaugh:
Pudding and I were having a naming discussion. She suggested an Egyptian theme. :-: All I could think of was Nefertiti, Toot and Carmen.
-
if there were 33 of them you could name them after the miners! :briggin:
-
The little girls look as though butter wouldn't melt but that grey boy definitely means business. Hope you can bring them around soon.
-
Oh bless :Luv2: They really don't look happy! Hope you can work your magic
-
Awww - I like the confused looking grey cat!
Egyptian names. What about Isis (Mythical goddess of magic) and Ife (Meaning love) and Tau. (meaning Lion.)
I also like the name Emu - which is one of the Egyptian words for cat... :shy:
-
Add in Isis and Annubis for the egyptian theme - they look so scared bless them afterall you have a nice clean bathroom and are a big scarey human
Are sure you will work your magic and have little purrpots in time time! ;D
-
We think the grey one will come round first. But have been wrong about that before. :innocent: One of the little girls is a right madam... growling like a Rotti. :evillaugh:
Emu... as in Rod Hull and Emu? :shify: As in demented animal that tried to tear Micheal Parkinson's throat out? :shify: :shify: Erm... :innocent:
Annubis.. that rings a bell. Think it might have been a character in one of the kid's Count Duckula videos... there was a great sketch with Hoomite and Youbee.
I still like Toot and Carmen. :evillaugh: I am rubbish at naming kittens. I keep telling them I shouldn't be allowed to foster for this reason but they don't listen. :tired:
-
Some future owner had better watch out for their loo rolls................................. :evillaugh:
-
Those kitties are soooooooooooo cute!!!!!!
:Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:
Loving the name ideas - fab! ;D
-
Bless them :Luv2: I shall be watching this thread with interest, as I've just picked up mum (terrified) and 3 kittens (about 6 wks - maybe more, not sure :-: ) and they are more huffy puffy than hissy spitty lol!
-
Yup, Emu as in the bird. Weird, eh? I think it's funny the name of a bird is another word for cat in a different language. :evillaugh:
-
Actually I'm vereing toward's Angie's suggestions of Chilean miners theme now. :shy:
The grey boy actually had the nerve to complain about the toys. I gave them mice and footballs but Sir wanted the feather boa wand toy which was just outside the pen. He reached out and pulled it all the way in but couldn't get the stick through the bars. :evillaugh:
-
 Didn't I tell you he meant business :)
-
They're lovely :)
-
I always like troublemakers!
-
A word of caution Julie as those girls are the image of monster Groucho at that age so don't be fooled by the scaredey look :shify: :shify: :shify:.
It's all an act until they got ya where they want ya and then watch out :scared: ;)
They are all stunning :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
-
Very cute babies, especially the grey one who looks like my Charlie when he was little! :Luv2: :Luv2: Good luck with them! ;D
-

Good luck with taming them Julie
-
:Luv: :Luv: :Luv: they're adorable but look so frightened in the photo bless them, good luck!
-
The grey one is definitely an Aloysius :evillaugh:
-
The grey boy, who I called Oliver in the end, didn't make it very far. :evillaugh: He went to stay with Caroline our welfare lady for his 'finishing school' placement and as you can see he won't be leaving. :innocent:  He has formed an alliance with one of Caroline's dogs and they are inseparable. Caroline's hubby and son are fighting over his final name. :innocent: Caroline rarely keeps a foster cat, especially a highly homeable one, but everyone in her house has fallen deeply in love and they can't bare to part with him. He's a very lucky boy indeed... Caroline's house is puddy heaven. :wow:
Oliver's sisters refused all attempts at taming and eventually became so distressed at me keeping them cooped up we decided to neuter and release back to site where they have a steady food source and someone to watch over them. They were very pleased indeed when I finally set them free. 8)

:evillaugh: :evillaugh: :evillaugh: Look at him!
-
Oh my!! just gorgeous :Luv: :Luv:
Shame his sisters did not tame down - glad someone is looking out for them on site :)
