I was on a training course at the RSPCA in Halifax on Thursday evening and the manager told us that someone couldn't find their kitten and she told her to look in the recliner chair cos they like to hide in places and only recently someone sat in their recliner and when lent back the kitten was squashed and killed in the mechanism part at bottom. :'( :(

OMG Mary, that's awful :'( :'(

That's horrible - poor baby :'(
My mum has a sofa with a recloner at one end and her cat, Shelley is always under there. I have mentioned before that it is dangerous.

we have recliners but never move until we know where everyone is - it was a nightmare when goose and binky (rip) were small. they used to like sleeping up in the back.
-
We have electric recliners - they close very slowly and we are very veey careful about who might be under there!

Misa used to live under one end of the sofa with the recliner bit............I saw him pull himself under and even then he was big.......sigh

I have a recliner sofa i bought earlier this year and never recline it as too scared someone may go under it .
Defeats the object of buying one !
This is so tragic :'( :'(
