Took him to vets this morning and it was drained.
They warned it could fill up again and may need an op.
He's now got one floppy (and sadly getting fatter again) ear.
He's either done it himself scratching too vigorously with those big flappers of his or in a tussle with one of the others...... TITCH where are you? >:(
I've seen some sites where ther sow buttons on to dogs ears to help healing. I shall demand red sequins for him.

Well he has has his surgery today and come back looking a right mess. :'(
Stitches in for 2 weeks and of the buster collar. Tablets and drops.
Got him in a pen in our living room and he will not be a happy boy - he hates using litter trays and normally yells the house down before pooing on the floor next to the tray.
Its going to be one hell of a fortnight for all of us I think. :'(

Thats how my ferals are crap in bed sleep in litter tray - Now I out 2 litter trays in to confuse them! :rofl:

Day 0 - evening. goose escapes from pen by pulling the side down and getting out. Luckily doors closed for night. Pen fixed with cable ties.
Goose let out for a bang into furniture and things go quiet and a few minutes later he walks in minus cone and scratches his ear. All panic ensues and cone back on - its really hard to use as the ties are really stiff.
Day 1 am - first tablets eaten with some chicken. Metacam eaten in food. Drops applied - though the ear is such a mess its hard to tell where. a few minutes banging into walls and furniture then back in the pen. one lot of meds done, 11 to go........

well all tabs down him now just some drops for today.
suspect he had ear mites that caused him to scratch his ear with those big flappers - so let that be a warning to all!! (ok it could have still been Titch!).

Goose sounds a smart cat....which is always tough when they're ill. They can figure out ways out of cones, cat flaps, crates..... :tired: Hope his convalescing helps; if he'll actually work with you!

Scabby but healing thanks.
In the end he wore the collar for about 5 weeks as every time we took it off him he would insist on scratching at the scabs.
The ear is a bit floppy and the fur is now growing back slowly. Will post piccie at some point.

Really pleased to hear it :). 5 weeks is such a long time to wear a collar but well done Angie for not giving in as I bet it could have been a lot longer if you had.
