We have dilly dallied too long over this little boy's name and have at last decided on Groucho as he is clever, a bit scruffy and very fun loving.
He was found bedraggled and flea ridden next to canal by our window cleaners on 20th August. They had no idea what to do with him so he came to us the following morning and we took him to vet. Vet said he was 8 weeks old then (still quite bluey eyes) and healthy lad. I registered him with CP but we couldn't give him up so he's learning to share with the other 6. He is very attached to his Unlce Fred and is beginning to win his auntie Ruby over too ...
You want pics? Course ya do :)

Bay Charlie is so pleased you now have a name for this week anyway!
-
Have been following his story and am glad that he is now a permanent resident finally with a name :naughty:
He's a gorgeous little boy :Luv:
-
:Luv2: :Luv2: he's gorgeous
-
Have to say there have been some lovely babies added to the boards lucky parents - - we aren't having any more though unless Spyder goes in the trap!
-
He's a sweetheart, and what a fab name - do you have any other Marx brothers?
-
Look at him and Fred!! :wow: ;D :evillaugh: Fab. :Luv:
-
Sadly Zeppo, Chico and Harpo are NEVER going to be part of this particular troop! :scared: D'ya hear! :) I soo am at my limit with 6 plus the monster Groucho ;) Ain't he a babe though :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
TBH Sue/Liz I was extremely nervous at thought of putting him in cattery with Fred for a week but I think if I pop them in spare room together over next few weeks for a few hours at a stretch I think it might work. Of course don't want to try long stretches due to Freddie's peeing issues but Cramar assure me they don't mind clearing up after him and I'm hopeful that Groucho might litter train Fred ....... rather than other way around :scared:
-
Just adore that pic of Freddie and his little mate, maybe he will be less stressed with a little chap to father ;D ;D
-
Gill said much the same as I was thinking. Either that, or he may feel he has to set an example. ;)

Oh and I just love your scratching post tower thingy - that is fab! Where did you get it from? We need to get something for my 2 babies, before they get too attached to the carpet!

Glad you like it :). The cats love it. Not cheap but very sturdy which it needs to be due to the frequent use it gets from our tribe

Scrumpious :Luv2: :Luv2:
BUT does he allow strokes/tickles/kisses of that tummy? Chelsea shows off her tum like that - so inviting and then she clamps on with all 4 paws and gives my hand a kicking :naughty:
-
Aww Rosella, makes me want to reach into that pic and give that tummy a good rub. :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
BTW, just looked at the pics when Groucho was a wee kitten and saw your Freddie, he's quite a looker too isn't he :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
Thats a lovely smoochy tummy. :Luv:
Nicky

Awww, look at them fluffy bloomers :evillaugh: :Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
Oooh thats one super fluffy tum!!!!!! :Luv2: :Luv2:
-
Our boy thanks his aunties for the lovely comments :)
.......does he allow strokes/tickles/kisses of that tummy?
It's still early days :shify: ... he's only really slept in that position this once that I know of. I have so far resisted raspberry blowing that tum but it's only a question of time.
When he's sitting up properly, he loves having his tummy gently caressed and the top of his head kissed :Luv: :Luv: :Luv: He's a lovely lad :)
-
Rosella, he's a world away from being the "Canal Kid" ;)
-

Freddie says "thank ee kindly auntie Allison" :)
-
Glad I'm not the only one who blows raspberries on my cat's tummy :shy: I think I would have to risk the consequences with a tum like Groucho's :Luv2: it's far too tempting ;D
-
what a cutie :Luv2:

I set our young lad up as a Purrs member over the weekend as, for Cat Show, it's important that I can see what newbies see.
Anyway that entailed setting him up a gmail addy too.
Now tell me if I'm completely bonkers but I almost just sent him an email .......... coz purrhaps he'll feel unloved if he has an email addy but no emails. That's normal cat lady stuff isn't it? I haven't gone over the edge.... have I? :shify:
While I'm "sharing".... thought I'd tell ya some of his funny little quirks like.... growling if the others try to share his food but not growling when he tries to steal theirs ...... allowing grooming but only as long as you groom with one hand and tickle his tummy with the other..... allowing Billy Whiz to "assume the position" on his back and bite his neck as if he were a girl :shify: :shify: :shify:......
-
Ah, now I did wonder when I saw groucho was one of our latest members to have joined..... ;)
Defnittly not mad. Of course he'll feel unloved if he has an email addy and no emails! :-:
I don't think he'll thank you though for that last little priceless snippet..... :shy: :evillaugh:
-
Defnittly not mad.
I don't think we should shelter her from the truth any more Sue :-:
Rosella - Yes, it's barking meowing mad to email your own cat :evillaugh: Don't do it!!!!!
Love the growling story, just goes to show he knows what's his and what isn't :naughty:
