Title: Pregnant cat on "those" ads - can anyone help? Birmingham
Post by: JackSpratt on September 07, 2010, 09:53:42 AM
There's a somewhat stunning torti girl who needs a new home. The post says she's a stray.... :tired:

If there are any rescues close to Birmingham that can help, please let me know. Otherwise, Niall has said if I can organise transport he'll take her.

If its the one that went on last night, I have already seen it and replied to them. Our pregnant girl isn't which means she can go back where she came from when they get back from hols (which I half suspect is why they contacted us!) and I have offered to take her in then - no reply as yet.......

Forwarded Angies phone number as she said there'd be space. (It is the same one.) Angie or I will update as soon as we know what's happening. ;)

If necessary, and the lady is cautious about a rescue I'll email from another address. A pretty torti that's pregnant is a lot safer in a good rescue than with a random home. (In my opinion, any way.)

I'd been inclined to agree with you on that one JS! I hope this lady comes to her senses and does the right thing. Just glad Angie is able to offer the space.

I hope this thread has a happy outcome *fingers crossed*

I have just received some sad news.
When I spoke to then yesterday, the mother cat had been missing all night. She was found today, the victim of RTA.

RIP little girl, so close to a new life.....

Oh that is so sad, just when she looked to be safe too. Life can be so cruel sometimes  :(

RIP little girl, know that you had people who cared for you even though they never met you.

That is just so sad Angie. When I saw the new notification on this thread I was hoping it was going to be you saying you had the little babe safe with you :(

Why didn't they keep the poor girl in when she was pregnant? Arghhhh.

RIP Little One. You should've had so much more love than you did.

Just a thought: is there a chance they were telling porkies about the RTA, maybe because they were disinclined for her to go to a rescue? This may just be my sceptical mind at work.

So sad if it's true.

Possibly. Sadly, nothing can be done if that's the case. Finding the ad again is doable, so someone else could email to find out I suppose.
