We are just about to start fostering for our local CP and all being well will have a new furry guest on Monday. We have converted our garage (which has been quite a big project) and have a pen just under 7ft square so will have space to take pairs/mums with kittens. I'm so looking forward to getting started and am sure will be needing lots of advice too ;D
-
Wow - that sounds fantastic! Good luck with your venture - I'm sure it will give you immense joy and fulfilment :)

Lots of luck and you in the right place for advice ;D ;D
-
Congrats on being a foster - just hope you can let them go - do you know who your first foster will be yet?
-
:1st place: Chris :)
Have you any idea who your first resident will be? Oh, and please make sure the camera batteries are charged :pic:
-
good luck!
-
Chris I just know that you will be the Purr fect fosterer
-
Chris good luck with the fostering it is so rewarding but be prepared for tears when someone wants to adopt "your baby" ;D
-
Change of plan and two gorgeous boys arrived this evening - they are seven months old ginger brothers with stunning markings. A little shy but very affectionate - camera batteries on charge Helen ! I don't think they will be waiting long for their forever home which is probably a good thing for me.
-
Good luck with this
-
Good start to fostering - more and quicker than you thought!! Good luck with these two - have they been neutered already?
-
Hi Chris hun
Bet ya busy with the little ones then ;D Lots of fun i bet ;D
How are they :)
-
Just a couple of photos of the gorgeous Oscar and Shakespeare. They really are the most affectionate and gentle cats you could ever meet and I'm sure won't be waiting long for their forever home.
Were neutered last week and first vacs today.

:blow kiss:
What beautiful little boys :Luv2: What's the story behind them coming into rescue Chris?
-
Their owner had to move and wasn't able to take them so they went to her friend who has their mum but things didn't work out. I cannot believe how loving the are - Shakey climbed onto my knee earlier then put his front paws up onto my shoulder and snuggled his head into my neck - just gorgeous.
-
Sounds adorable! I bet they'll be snapped up in no time :)
-
Beautiful boys! Hope they won't be waiting too long for their new home!
-
THey are stunners, I am surprised you still have them.
-
Someone is interested and home check being done tomorrow. They are so sweet and loving that I am certain the first person to meet them will home them.
-
how beautiful!
I would love to foster. If we sell our place and move to where we want we will have extra room and it is something I plan to do!
-
They are great and hope they get a wonderful home ;D ;D
-
A lovely lady and her sister came to meet the boys today and they have found their forever home. I am really pleased for them and sure they will be very happy with her. She is about to go on holiday so that means I get to keep them until 21st September too.
-
Great news!!
-
Glad they have a home, but I dont understand people who go looking when they then have to leave them at the rescue while they go away.
-
That's wonderful Chris ;D
-
The boys went to their new home yesterday lunchtime but were back with me by 8pm as the lady developed an allergy. While I am more than happy to have them here again I feel sorry for them and her that it didn't work out. At least I did manage to part with my first fosters, albeit only for a few hours !
-
Poor boys! :( Can't believe she only gave it 8 hours :( I was allergic to Lu & Riley for weeks after they first arrived (was fine with Tiggy) but just gave it time and it settled down.
At least they weren't there long enough to develop a bond, fingers crossed the next home is their perfect forever home
-
Yes, hopefully the right home for them won't be too long. It was sweet when we went to collect them as when they heard my voice in the hallway they started meowing. They don't seem their usual selves today though - bit stressed I guess.
-
So sad and they must be a bit confused
-
Oh for goodness sake, after a few hours?!! Sorry Chris, hope they settle back in with you for now, and they find the perfect home soon.
-
:( I couldn't let those two stunning babes go once in my house. They are sooo lovely. :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:
What will the lady do now ... go look for a cat that doesn't give her an allergy?!!!! Such a shame, they deserve more respect!
Glad they are with your hun at least they are well loved  I hope it won't be long before they do get their forever loving home.

Same with Sean and there was NO WAY he was going to them go, even tho he was pretending not to be that fussed by them!
They are so stunning those two. I feel sorry for them!
-
i can't believe she hasn't given it longer for her body to adapt, or tried things like anti-histamines, Petal Cleanse - she clearly isnt' the right person for these two.
-
It's sad as the lady phoned me today and it seems likely that the allergy is because she has recently finished a course of chemotherapy - she has owned a cat and a dog in the past without any problems. Hopefully for her, given time, she may be OK with pets again. The boys are back to their usual lively selves today - so affectionate too, Shakie actually stands on his back legs on the table and throws his paws around my neck - they definitely deserve a forever home soon.
-
Ah it's obviously a reaction to her drugs then. I hope she has the chance to have a loving relationship with future kitties then. :)
-
What handsome boys, sad that they have come back and sad for the lady too, but I am sure with their good looks they will soon find a forever home.
-
The boys will be going to their new home on Sunday - hope so much that it works out for them this time. The people are lovely, the man is retired and so lots of time to fuss and play with them which is great. They have been slaves to several cats in the past but have waited two years since their last one went to the Bridge until they felt ready - asked me lots about their personalities, food/litter/treats/toys they prefer etc. so am really happy that this is the purrfect home that they deserve.
-
Awww glad they found a nice home!
Will you miss then?
-
:1st place: boys :)
Sounds liek a lovely home, not sure who is luckier - the boys or their new slaves :Luv2:
-
Great news Chris, you are going to miss them
-
sounds like a great home
