Title: brown wax
Post by: Elle CatRescueUK on August 15, 2010, 12:49:22 PM
I've just discovered a little bit of moist brown wax in my cats ear, only a very small amount, but but he had ear mites when I got him from the rescue 2 years ago, and the rescue supplied me with a treatment liquid which cleared it up. But does wax deposits in cats ears always signal ear mites infestation?

I dont think so Ollie and Tyler get brown wax in ears at times and i got it checked out and they were fine.

Not certain on all cases though. Is your cat scratching ears much

No but his third eyelid is showing quite a bit today and he has watery eyes but I don't know if that's linked. He's been fighting with a neighbourhood cat recently so I am paranoid about wounds on him so checking him over all the time.

Thanks for your reply :)
