Morning everyone.
The cats kept me up playing all night, I got out of bed eventually at 7 am bc I heard a gagging noise and Tom was being sick. Just a little bit of the white frothy kind, then it happened another 3 times, each time the amount got larger. He didn't eat any breakfast either.
He's just been lying around now, not playing with Charlie or anything. He's not himself. But he is coming up to me for cuddles.
I have a feeling that he may have eaten some cat litter, and it's the cat-san clumping I'm using just now. I've heard that this can make cats sick, had anyone experienced anything like that?
He's stopped being sick now, and he's sitting up beside me. There was some litter lying on the bedroom carpet, so I think that's what he's ate.
He seems a bit better after being sick to be honest, he's down with Charlie now, that's why I'm thinking it was the litter.
Thanks
Sarah xx
EDIT - He's eating some dryfood now :) I'll let you's know if that stays down, if not I think it's a visit to mister vet.
-
if it stays down and he doesnt have any more symptoms then fine but if not take him to the vet today before the holiday monday.
-
As he is now eating hopefully he will be OK. If there are any further problems you could always ring the vet and ask if they think they should see Charlie.
-
to the vet today before the holiday monday.
All the vets in our Town are closed today too.
-
He seems to be keeping it down. He had some wet food too, now he's munching more dry.
I forgot all about the bank holidays!
I'll keep an eye on him today, I'll be in all day anyways.
I get such a fright with things like that, first thing I do is come on here for some advice hahaha. What would I be like with children
Yeah he seems better now, just a bit cuddley still

Does he have access to grass? If not, try offering him some.
-
hi hippy!
thanks for that advice, i'll try that in future as he's an indoor cat.
he's absolutely fine today, i think he had been eating his litter, and was just regurgitating it :-:

If you send a SAE to Cats Protection HQ they will send you some of the grass seed to grow in pots ( the type of grass that cats love)
