I just wondered if peeps could have a look at the packaging in their local supermarket and see if there are warnings on the lily bouquets.
I was disappointed to see no warnings on the ones in Morrisons, but pleased that I think I did see that Asda had a warning on the label.
I thought we could check and then maybe write some letters at the same time to the supermarkets.
I don't have any plants or flowers in my house ( don't like cut flowers anyway, find them tragic, prefer to see them in the garden ), but I know lillies are popular at Easter.

Hi
I saw them on the packets of Daffodills in Tesco this week...
I wasn't aware they were poisonous to cats too, so good job it was marked on the packet.

Ahhh daffodills!!
We picked some today as well! Better get rid of them, they're well out the way of the cats anyways.
Yep my lillies from Tesco were labelled as well J

A few months ago I got some as a present, and they had a warning label. They were from Marks & Spencer.

I know what you mean, one of my uncles was the head of Liverpool Parks and Gardens (they have loads) and he would never cut flowers or purchase any, he always said they are far nicer where they grow.

Shame about the daff.s! I've always loved them, and seen them as little trumpeters of spring and better weather. The sacrifices we make for our cats! :tired:

Will just bin the lilies just to be safe.
Can you not put them in the loo or somewhere? That is the only room I could flowers in before myJeannie went blind.

I looked at the lillies in Asda today and they had warnings on them. I didn't check bouquets that contained a few lillies, just the lillies only ones.
