Has anyone used this or kow anything of it. http://www.katzecure.com/index.php
We may need planning permission for the mesh sort so this seems an obvious choice.

Never heard of this before but there is a silly statement on there about the two pole system...........says it increases the height of a 6 foot fence by up to 12 inches etc...........and this breaks the national law on fencing which is a max of 2 metres ie 6 foot 6 ins
I dont think I would have much faith in this system cos a young agile cat can jump onto a 6ft fence!
Why would you need planning permission to put mesh up?

I haven't any personal experience but I have seen several photos of a cat making it over the poles, so unless they have improved the system I wouldn't consider it myself

I've always liked the look of that system I must say - it was one of the ones I considered when I thought about cat proofing the whole garden. I think someone on Purrs had this system, there was a thread about it with pictures, few years ago now I think, can't remember who it was - maybe do a search and see what comes up and pm the person if they are still here to see how they've got on with it.

Just did a quick search and here's the thread http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,4445.msg249259.html#msg249259
edited, to add, thats not the thread I was thinking of, but there was definitely another one that had pictures ;)

I wouldn't go for that either, have heard storys here about cats getting legs stuck in the poles ect. Also I think an agile cat would be able to get over that if they are that determined, my mum tried the drainpipe and some of her cats could still get out.
Best bet is the mesh sort, I have mine done and it's about 8ft high, nobody seems to mind as it keeps my cats out of their gardens ;)

I'm looking at catproofing my new garden, need to measure it to see how expensive it'll be
