Title: Ashfield Cats (Notts/Derby) June Cats. Warning, contents may cause dribbling...
Post by: Corporal Smokey on June 02, 2010, 14:52:55 PM
Well I went up to the shelter last night and the fun has begun  !

Kittens, kittens, kittens, mums, abanodoneds, strays, waifs and a rather dreamy FIV+ boy.

Here we go:

Chloe. At 1 year old Chloe has been homed more times than a cat should ever be! This is not her fault and she is lovely. Her latest owner is very sick and was very upset to hand her in. We need this next home to be forever!

Privet. Privet was thrown in the hedge bottom next to a busy main road. She was heavily pregnant. Sadly none of her babies made it but we really want to find a special, loving home for this very friendly but traumatised girl

Trevor. Our longest resident (why oh why is that?) is a gorgeous blue and white boy. He's very friendly and has a really cute meow!

Tommy. The star of the show. Tommy is about 5 years old. His owners moved away and couldn't take him. There were tears and he has been a spoilt boy (he deserves nothing less mind you). He's had a dental and is in great shape. He is FIV+ but please don't let that put you off, there's tons of support and help on this very forum. Indoor home only please.

Matilda. This petite, black girl is around 9 months old. She is the perfect family cat as she'll play with your kids, your dog and your other cat. All she wants is a lot of love and some fun.

Princess. This smashing girl decided to move in to a chap's shed one day. "Fine" he thought, "I'll feed her". One day princess had a princess of her own...and three princes! Unfortunately this was a little too much and they were brought in to us.

Willy Wonka. Another one who invited himself in to be fed by a kindly neighbour. One day he gave birth and at that point the kindly neighbour realised he wasn't a he at all! In this budnle of black and white is one white kitten, three black kittens and a white mum with an odd name...

And so we come to the kittens. You've seen one of the litters. Here's another litter of young 'uns

...and the mischevous batch of kittens who are about ready for homing. We have 2 ginger and white, one all black, one all black with a white tippy tail, one lanky black and white boy who we think will turn into a big, slinky boy (all legs atm) and the sweetest little lh tabby girl (I'm taking oh to meet her on Saturday...)

Right I think that's all. We have a booksale on Saturday and Sunday so why not come along?

Not that long at all, probably about a month. We've had a great few months where people have offered homes as soon as the cats have come in so I haven't even had chance to add them to Cat Chat. As a result, our page wasn't updated all of May so the one cat we had in all the time didn't get seen on there. I'm sure it's no coincidence as tons of our homings are through Cat Chat. I'm sure he'll soon be snapped up!
