Charlie has been in the wars yet again and has come home lame on his front leg, not putting any weight on it all and yowling like a banshee if I try and touch it.
I took him to the vets first thing and they have kept him in to do Xrays - I am waiting for a call to find out what he has done.
Fingers, toes and everything else crossed that he hasnt broken the leg.
-
Keeping everything crossed for you both - hope it's not broken
-
Aw, what's he been up to, bless him!
Fingers and toes crossed its not broken
-
Fingers crossed for Charlie. Let's hope a dose of Metacam and a rest will do the trick
-
Hope it's nothing too serious, sending positive vibes and a  your way.
-
Sending best wishes for Charlie xx
-
Hoping for a good result from the x-ray
-
Sending lots of good vibes for Charlie

Thanks all - luckily no broken bones, the vet thinks it is muscle and ligament damage so very painful, the vet said he was a total star and didnt even need sedating for the Xrays - he had a metacam jab and Ive got metacam liquid to give him from tomorrow morning - he has got to stay in for a couple of days and is definately not amused, even though he can only manage to hobble he is screaming to go out - dont think so Charlie Bear.
Absolutley exhausted so off for a little nap. x
-
so pleased that nothing broken
-
Good news that nothing is broken, although having torn ligaments in the past I know how painful that is - big hugs to Charlie bear
Did the vet say how he thought Charlie might have done it?
-
Poor Charlie - glad there isn''t anything broken . Not a happy chappy away from his mum though !
Sending healing vibes to Charlie and    for you all.
-
Glad nothing broken and hope for a speedy recovery
-
Charlie says big fankoo for get well wishes.
He has sat at the back door and howled like a bloody wolf for the past 20 minutes to go out- I need some ear plugs!!
Helen, the vet thinks he got his leg stuck somewhere and pulled and/or twisted to get free ? no scuffed claws so that ruled out RTA
-
So pleased he hasn't broken anything, but bad enough! :( Hope he soon feels better and stops making your 'ears bleed' (Sue Cav's been through this with her Paolo following an RTA and said he was making her 'ears bleed'-love that description!)

My poor Charlie is even worse this evening and he has got a huge abcess (sp) come up his shoulder, so it looks like that could be the cause of all his pain all along - back to the vets at 10am tomorrow. He is hobbling even worse and feeling so sorry for himself.
-
Poor baby :( At least he's been having the Metacam to keep the pain at bay
-
Ahhh, poor Charlie - hope he feels better after the vet visit.
Lots of healing vibes for the poor boy and loads of
-
Hope the vet can get it sorted soon now you know the problem, poor Charlie :(
-
We have all paws crossed for Charlie and Mr Vet and hope all goes well on his visit
-
Best of luck for todays visit
-
Back from the vets and I can honestly say I wont be eatring cottage cheese for a long time because that is just what the exploding abcess reminded me of
I think the vets felt a bit bad for not diagnosing the abcess on Sat but TBH it only really came up yesterday, we have got more Metacam, synolux and hibiscrub to keep the area clean - I have got to clean it and give it a squeeze twice a day for a couple of days   and they only charged for the meds today and not the consultation - I am claiming off the insurance though becasue the Xray was well expensive
Charlie is fast asleep now so hopefully on the mend now. Quck cup of tea for me and off to work
Thanks for all the vibes xxx
-
  tho good news for Charlie! Don't envy you the sqeezing bit-eeeurgh!  Hope he'll now start feeling much better
-
