Title: Help - need toy ideas!
Post by: Susanne (urbantigers) on May 15, 2010, 15:16:21 PM
I need some inspiration for new toys to keep Mosi amused.   He has loads of inanimate objects (mice, balls etc.) and he will play with them when I throw them or wiggle them around, but isn't interested in playing with them by himself.  He likes fishing rod type toys but he has loads and doesn't really need any more.  He has a laser and he doesn't do catnip.  Any ideas for anything new and different that he can play with by himself?  He has a cat cube, cat tent and cardboard boxes.  He has pretty much everything really - I was just looking for something a bit different to interest him.

ETA I think he might have to have a kitty broom teaser from the Purrs shop  ;D

You could try a turbo track ... or a crinkle tunnel both are favourites here  !!!

:birth:
you can buy the turbo track from PURRS . I just reshaped mine and my kitty thinks its new and has been chasing all day  :evillaugh:

Iv just ordered an activity board and a wooden board from zooplus (£22.90) they are the best deal, i did shop through the purrs link tho  :-[
Im after something to amuse chicken as shes high energy and as food is her number one love im hoping both will go down well with her :wish:

This is the one i ordered http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/cat_toys/miscellaneous/137341 (http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/cat_toys/miscellaneous/137341)

If you want a ball in track the catit senses one is on offer at petplanet for a tenner per part, i already have one of these and it was loved at the 6-12 week of age but doesnt get much look in now unless i put temptations in it   :innocent:
Petplanet also had big tunnels on offer, me and helen brought one last time they were on sale and they are a decent size for an adult cat to fit in, only downside is they are were white inside

The kitty kopter is good for them to play with alone and also pom poms, theres a lady on ebay that sells packs of 6 quite cheaply, lola enjoys pulling them to pieces
