Title: Pets @ Home Purely 156g tins five for £2 (fish in jelly)
Post by: Fire Fox on May 12, 2010, 17:02:02 PM
For anyone who hasn't tried these they are similar to Feline Fayre pouches, big chunks of fish in jelly (50% meat  :wow:) but are complete unlike FF which is only complementary. Flavours are tuna, ocean fish, fish feast and sardines and the five for £2 offer is on until the middle of June. Go down very well with Noah and several of the MSE cats.

Bump as this offer has resurfaced!  :wow: Note that the website is claiming the tins usually retail at 56p each, when I am pretty sure they were 47p last week.

I gave up buying those fish in jelly type foods as none of mine have ever been interested. Have you tried 'Naturals' from Tesco? - They have turkey & lamb flavours. They are something like 70% of named flavour + rice (+vitamins to balance) - no wheat, soya or dairy, colourings etc. 100g foil trays are 22p. When they came out, they were about 45p each - a couple of years ago, they went down to 22p and I assumed they were being discontinued but they still have them on sale.

I bought a couple of those a year ago to try and piglet Noah left his dish sparkling. :evillaugh: I then re-read the labels and it's 70% of the meat content not 70% of the product that is the named flavour - very carefully worded on the front. :tired: Still a useful addition to your arsenal when you have fusspots to deal with.  Tesco Luxury is quite good value at 50% meat as it regularly comes on offer.
