Post by: Dawn F on April 22, 2010, 15:22:42 PM
our big old tv is currently bed of choice for Star - it is making horrible noises and will shortly be replaced by a thin tv - anyone had problems with cats trying to sit on top???

Lirael our burmese still attempts to jump on the 36" flat screen tv we have in the living room. Which normally causes the whole thing to rock in place and her claws barely missing the screen.

So we've banned the cats from the living room.

Just keep a wary eye out incase your cat is a silly as Lirael!

that's exactly what I'm worried about!!  no way of banning them from the room though!

All you can do is see how they go. I've not looked into getting a new tv stand but there has to be one that is lirael proof. Or maybe have the tv mounted to the wall ;)

Yep, I have a 17" flat screen TV and my boys will occasionally sit on top of it even though it teeters frantically and I come charging over to scoop the culprit off.

They've also sent it flying about half a dozen times when they're playing 'chase' round the flat.

So far the worst that's happend is that the back's fallen off and I've had to put it back together again, but I do tend to screech a bit if they're on the rampage and head in the TV's direction.

Sometimes I love the fact that Singas stay young at heart, sometimes I wish they'd 'mature' just a little...
