Ok advice please,
Taz is nearly a year old now & he has a friend that comes visiting, who also looks quite young, i've named his friend Tigger for want of a better name. Now Tigger supposedly has a home somewhere, as far as I can tell he's never in it tho, always out, rain, wind or shine. So he spends a lot of time with us.
Now both Taz n Tigger play constantly when they're inside, it's like they're wrestling apart from when Taz, gets fed up & starts whining 'cos he's a soft mummy's boy. Is this behaviour just playing or is it some sort of mysterious cat ranking thing. As I suspect Tigger thinks he's moved in. I have Tasha as well now she's the boss when in comes to other cats & Tigger's bright enough not to go near her, lol. All advice gratefully recieved, thanks, Sue

It definitely sounds like playing to me, 'wrestling' is exactly how I would describe it when my two are playfighting. It might be an idea to pop a paper collar on Tigger asking for his owners to contact you, just to check that he does have a home and isn't lost as it sounds a bit odd that he's out in all weathers.

Hiya,
thanks for that, been a long time since I had any younger cats, usually adults that adopt me. Tigger's gone out for now, hopefully home. He does have a home somewhere as he has a collar of his own but there's no name tag or address. Also the 1st few times he was about he was very small, well I wouldn't have let him out at that size  I will however add a note to his collar the next time he's in. Which probably won't be long ;D thanks

Welcome to Purrs. :) If both cats are coming out of it unscathed it's likely to be rough play. My younger two can be terrifying with their "matches." (Although now I end up playing the music that happens when Captain Kirk has a scrap in Star Trek in my head....odd, I know. ;))

Yes Ripley and Ruby Red Pants are always wrestling, Ripley usually comes off worse but is soon back for another round as soon as Ruby turns her back.

cheers i'm stuck with that in my head now too, lol. If anyone has some better names than Tigger, let me know as I still can't think of anything thanks

Presumably Tigger is a tabby? I love naming animals, will have a think. (Pictures help. ;))

Hiya,
no pics of him yet but Tigger is a brown mackeral tabby, quite gentle, doesn't mind you stroking him but obviously isnt used to it, generally friendly especially when food's coming, lol :sneaky:
I stand corrected I do have a pic....Tigger is the 1 looking at the camera

What lovely cats! :) Ummm - Radu? (It means "happy.")
-
They're both gorgeous and look like they could be brothers :Luv2: Maybe you could give Tigger a wrestlers name :evillaugh:
-
I like Radu & will also look up some wrestlers names too...
Guess i'll have to watch him like I did my other 2 - Tasha my big black girl, 'cos she'd have done alright in the russian mafia or general world domination :evillaugh:
Taz - well 'cos of tazmanian devil really, destroys everything in his path & will eat anything too. My spare recycle bin, Taz would be the 1 to destroy all life on earth by pushing the big red button, not on purpose off course, but 'cos he fell on it or tried to eat it, lol :naughty:
-
ooooh he's lovely ... I'd call him Mack (seeing as he's a mackeral tabby :innocent:) - yeah I know not very original! lol
-
:Luv: aww they are both beautiful!...im not good at names...but like the suggestions here....how about 'cefer'...?...C for (cat?)
