Hi,
We have recently had a small litter of 3 kittens. Now it is day 12 their eyes are opening. We have noticed the first born kittens eyes (female) are different to the others.
The 2 boys eyes are looking quite large and open. The females are looking like this:

Should we be concerned, as the left eye looks like it is fully formed but small.
As I said they are on day 12 so it could be that they are still developing.
And past experience with this, or advice?
Thanks.

They will all open their eyes at different rates. I've got a litter of 7 born on the 18th and some have got their eyes wide open and have had them open for ages, some have only had them open for a few days and one of my red silver and white boys has currently got got one eye wide open and one half open. It's perfectly normal so don't panic :)
Very cute looking tortie tabby and white girl you've got there :Luv:

Please be careful with using the flash at such a young age, it can damage their eyes.

Don't worry, there is definitely no flash used. Just a good camera!
