Title: No breakfast for Geoffrey tomorrow
Post by: fluffybunny on March 28, 2010, 20:45:30 PM
Oh my goodness, I'm going to get shredded in the morning  :scared:  Both kitties are having dentals tomorrow, but Geoffrey is a particularly greedy little(big) love and goes mad for his food.  Wish me luck, I'm going to need it  :evillaugh:

So difficult when you're not allowed to give them anything to eat - massive sense of guilt.

Hope their dental checks are ok.

Thanks all - fortunately it wasn't too bad as the clocks went forward at the weekend so their 7am tummies only started rumbling at about 8am!  Both kitties have been done and are now waking up, I'll be setting off to collect them soon  :wow:

When I spoke to the vet, she said something about Milly having 1mm more movement than normal in the gap between her lower jawbones - she said it doesn't seem to be causing any problem and it does sometimes happen in older cats, but I can't quite picture whereabouts in the jaw she's talking about - anyone else got any ideas?

Anyway, best go get some fresh water out and get the food ready for when they get home  :wow:

Glad all went well, if you google image search cat and mandible you will find pics of x rays of the jaw, you will see clearly then  ;D
It could be from an old trauma or even from having teeth pulled, as she eats normally it obviously doesnt bother her

Thanks everyone and thanks MM, it makes more sense now!  She didn't have any teeth out yesterday so it sounds as if it's something historic.  She does have arthritis so maybe her bones are a tad weak?  As you say, it doesn't seem to be bothering her anyway.

Kitties are both fine today, they are both helping me write my uni assignment...
