Eastern Star, a lilac point siamese cat purchased from breeders betabil (edinburgh), was pts aged 9 because he threw a clot. His back legs were paralyzed and his aorta torn. This was caused due to him having dilated cardomyopathy (genetic).

The death has been made even harder, by the breeder Betty, contacting us and trying to get any memorials of Easternstar on the net removed! Because the breeder is more concerned with her good name being tarnished with the mention of heart problems in her line, rather than offering sympathy for what this wee cat went through! :(

You are soooo right bunglycat! We thought the breeder was a "nice lady", but at times like this people show their true colours :(
We didn't even contact her to let her know what happened with him, health problems happen....Never once did we contact her and make an issue of it. But she has done so with us, after i posted 2 memorials for the wee guy.....

My mum has learned her lesson, not to line the pockets of uncaring breeders! She now has a wee rescue cat called Quincy, a black and white, semi-long haired moggie! She calls him Scallywagga not Quincy when he is nawty! x

The breeder (betabil) Betty, has got a memorial I posted on another pet type forum for Easternstar, deleted.... :( I hope she doesn't try to do the same with this one.

Thank you! :thanks: I hope not...The wee cat doesn't deserve for his memorials to be deleted, he was a gorgeous angel, that suffered alot in his last couple of days before being sent kindly to the bridge! :(

A memorial is to treasure a memory of your beloved friend, nobody has the right to take that away from you, or take your respect away from letting people know how much Eastern Star was loved :hug:

Some other people who have purchased siamese cats from this breeder, have also had memorials deleted :( I have been in contact with them!
It seems this "breeder" doesn't like when owners mention what the cats die of, age or the reason they have been put to sleep. Due to most of them being heart related problems, that bring premature death....Apparently we owners should NEVER put the age of the cat or cause of death on memorials, cos Betabil doesn't "like it"...
Whenever any of my cats die I ALWAYS put the age and cause of death, and never had any problems before!
Eastern star you are thought of everyday, and hope you are playing at the bridge with Gem and Jasmine. x x x
