Well we seem to be on a run of having kitties in dire help at the moment. Our latest case is a little one that arrived at the weekend with what appeared to be a bad leg.
After seeing the vet Tuesday we have had it confirmed that it is in fact a dislocated hip :( and he will be heading to the vets tomorrow for x-rays so that we can decide how best to proceed. :scared:
At the moment it is looking as though its an old injury and so most likely will be needing a surgical option as it is causing him a lot of pain at the moment. :( Will grab some pics a little later for you all to show you this wee star who is SOOO loving he just doesn't deserve this at all.

All hugs passed on last night and again this morning before loading him into the carrier to head to the vets. Poor paul has a mammoth vet run this morning with 5 in for various things.
Paws are all crossed here for the wee fella and hoping for some good news when we hear from the vet later today following his x-rays

Hope all goes well today xx

Well it turns out that wee Indy has in fact managed to fracture the top of his femur bless him and he's done a mighty good job of it too!
It would appear that it is an old injury which has already started to form a false joint and heal. For the moment we are going to give Indy 8 weeks cage rest and re-evaluate him then in the hope that the false joint has started to settle and he is not in as much pain with it.
At that time dependant upon how he is coping / pain, state of the fracture, etc a decision will be made as to whether they feel that we will be left with no option but surgery or to allow him to heal naturally.
Either way he will always be lame in that leg but at least now we know he is safe and well with us. :Luv2:

Hope that things turn out well for him and that he manages to avoid the op xx
-
Fingers crossed the cage rest works well and he doesnt need an op

Indy's been feeling very sorry for himself bless since his return from the vet but still as loving as always. We really hope we can avoid painful surgery for the wee fella - we just have to hope that the false joint heals up pain free! :wish:
