Found out about this last week on the Look East program...not amused at all >:(
Apparently this and another centre are to close due to the age of the building and the claims that the area is not of a suffiencient need to warrant keeping it open!
Needless to say i'm livid.... my first furbabe Smudge came from these wonderful guys and my father gives them money regulary to this day. As for un-needed as far as i'm aware they're the only non-RSPCA rehoming centre in the area.

>:( Can't imagine any rescue not being needed  more likely to expensive to improve the building surely cats from pout side areas could use it ???

Theres a facebook campain on the go. Its more a case of the money needed to update facilities could be "better spent elsewhere" not lack of demand for it, thay always have plenty waiting to come in :(
