-
Welcome to Purrs. :) Do you have a picture of Suzie at all?
Just out of interest, how old is your other cat? Is it a newcomer or did Suzie and the other cat live quite happily together up until now?
-
our other cat is about 6 they got on b4 but now that susie does'nt go out as much since b4 xmas they don't get on if you send me your email address i will post a pic have tried but won't let me
-
Welcome to Purrs, sheff utd. When you say that Susie has stopped getting on with your other cat, can you let us know a bit more detail?
Also, what has prompted you to think that the imminent spring weather - and the renewed attractiveness of the outdoors to Susie - won't solve the problem?
Last, may I ask why it is Susie that you have decided to rehome? Is she the most recent arrival?
This may seem like a lot of questions, but in order to help you and Susie, we need these sorts of details :thanks:
-
It isn't unheard of for a cat to suddenly decide it doesn't like a cat it shares it's home with, but there's usually a trigger. Christine's asked some good questions. ;)
Have sent you my email address.

Such a pretty girl!
-
A beautiful black kitty :Luv:
-
she is still available to be rehomed asap
-
Susie has been taken to the local RSPCA.
-
>:(
-
I suppose that's what they're there for Gill....will move Susie to the posts sorted section. :(
-
:scared: I presume they are going to find her a home?
-
Susie is twelve years old and black.

Think the bridge may be more appropriate. :(

:'( oh I hope not I'd take her first and find her a home

I have moved this back to cats needing homes, because she still does. Is anyone near Sheffield who can contact the local RSPCA?
-
Hi, I'm in Sheffield but I couldn't keep her myself! Would happily help move her somewhere else if needed!!!
-
Can I ask what makes this very urgent indeed? Surely by putting that we're belittling an RSPCA branch none of us have had dealings with? (Unless someone tells me different.)
I do agree that Susie still needs a home, obviously.
-
Suerly to get the cat from the rspca you would have to go through a homecheck yourself? I dont think it would be as easy as just picking the cat up now :shy:

How about that she is 12, black and spits and growls for a start.
With the reputation of this crowd I would work on them all being bad unless proved otherwise!
-
She only spits and growls if someone picks her up as far as I can see, Gill. ;) And CC, you're right - the RSPCA have control over this one now. (Whether we like it or not.)
-
Have just looked at the branch's website (if I got the right one) - there are quite a few older cats up for rehoming and quite a number of black cats as well as others - all just gorgeous :Luv2:

Agree with JS here - Not all branches of large charities operate the same (but maybe to see if the girlie is ok - a telephone call to Sheffield might be able to put people's mind at rest).
-
How can you just get rid of a cat like that ? :censored: :censored: :censored:
Lets hope she is found a new home
-
I agree that she is now in their hands and I know that not all branches are the same, I've witnessed them as poles apart but I've just called them to see if she's ok ;) and apparently they'e closed Wednesday's - I'll try again tomorrow.
-
I called as soon as I saw you guys classed it as very urgent to try and put everyones mind at rest but got an answerphone. I tried today as well but no joy - so have emailed asking about Susie.
-
I managed to get through to the rescue and it does sound like this little has been pts sadly :( the lady I spoke to was really nice and said they had a black cat called Susie come in a couple of weeks ago and unfortunately had to pts because she was very poorly and that's most likely why she was being aggressive. She had feline aids and lots of tumours. So sad :(
I'll move this now.
RIP little one xx
-
Thanks Janey
-
So had Susie had a vet check this could've been found out then and she could've had a peaceful end a few weeks ago? How terribly sad.
RIP Susie, you looked a very sweet old girl.

This is very sad :'(
RIP Susie, play hard on the Bridge cos you will be loved there
