My boys are going to give me a nervous breakdown. We all woke up about 5am and me being me and Jaffa being Jaffa, I immediately leapt out of bed and went on pee watch with Jaffa :evillaugh: I tried to encourage him to use the litter tray so that I could relax a bit, but he didn't want to. So I shut the livng room door on them (I often shut them out there if they wake too early and they are usually ok about it) and went back to bed in the hope of getting a bit more sleep before the alarm went off. But no being quiet this time. Whine whine. whinge whinge. howl howl. All from Jaffa. I try to ignore that kind of thing as I dont' want him getting the idea I will come running whenever he calls (even though I do and he knows it :shify:) but he made a few new noises and I did eventually feel the need to get up and make sure he was ok.
He was fine, of course. Just didn't want to be shut out of the bedroom. He didnt' want to be in the bedroom either. He was quite relaxed and fine once I was there with him but I was too anxious to let him mooch around after all the spraying and cystitis he has had lately (I am still finding places where I think he has used previously and in recent days I've caught him trying to use them again). So I stroke him and talk to him and plead with him to use the litter tray (then I can relax a bit that feel that he won't go elsewhere). I even took the hood off the tray and pulled it into the middle of the room. But no, he didn't want to go. Then Mosi started being lively and playing with stuff - first the strip off the top of a bozita carton, then with something on the wall that only he could see :shify: and finally by jumping on Jaffa. After this went on for some time and I thought :censored: it I'm going back to bed, even though I knew I had to be up in about half an hour. So I put on the heating and hoped that Jaffa would settle down by a warm radiator. I went back to bed and Jaffa came with me. He sat on the bed and I stroked him for a while whilst Mosi played bedmice with my feet. Then he went and lay down by the radiator and Mosi came up to me for a cuddle. I lay there for a while with Jaffa purring on his bottle and Mosi doing his special version of purring under my chin. Bliss. Then the alarm went off.
Oh well, another night with 5 hours sleep. That's better than some nights.

Cats and relaxing in the same sentence??? Where on earth did you get that from :naughty:

I feel your pain with this ;)
I had to laugh at what happened to Hubby this morning, I got up and left him in bed with the door pulled to. Fed the boys and went to wash my hair and got ready etc, when Hubby suddenly appeared not looking very happy. Turns out Milo had batted the bedroom door till he manged to open it, went in sat on my pillow and kept batting hubby in the head :evillaugh:, Milo then decided he didn't want to be shut in the bedroom (door had closed behind him) so was meowing to be let out, Hubby let him out and went back to bed. Seems this went on a couple of times till Hubby decided he'd had enough and got up. Anyway I went up to our bedroom after he'd told me this to find Milo sound asleep in Hubby's hot spot   I think he was trying to say get up its my turn to sleep now :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

Relaxing?  And that's all I'm saying....

Aren't they supposed to lower blood pressure too

Lower blood pressure? Relaxing? Are you sure we're talking about cats here?
I get the early morning wake up call; the pushing me out of bed until I give up and feed them, then return to bed to find the cats have taken it over; the making a noise until they get their own way; the refusing to be shut out of any room - I've forgotten what a good night's sleep is!
I feel for you, just settling back to bed when the alarm went off - that's so annyoing (especially when the cats just turn over and go back to sleep!).

Cats and a good night's sleep are certainly not compatible. Little monsters. But we love them despite it all ;D
