I had a phone call from my vets Saturday it was about a little 3 year old cat that had been brought in to be put to sleep as it had a Abbess on its front leg and the owner could not aford the treatment, the nurse phoned me and asked me if i could help save him but i would have to pay the cost to treat him i could not say no :( so they went ahead with the opp, it cost me £300, i picked him up today poor little lad had to have his leg amputated, you would think the vets would have gone half way with the cost but no >:( it would have been easer to put the poor little lad down >:( anyway he is safe here with me now, even though its put a big hole in our bank, but i always think things will always work out, if the owner had got the poor lad to the vets earlier maybe they Gould heaved the poor little lads leg But he is here safe with me now bless him.

here he is lve him his name is Allfie

 You are a star Ron. It wouldn't have hurt the vet to give you a discount as he would have got nothing if he PTS >:( - Money Grabbing :censored:
I'm sure Alfie is grateful to you :)
He is lovely :Luv2:
-
I'd have asked the owner for the PTS money he was going to give the vet. :sneaky:
Some vets really are just in it for the money. :tired: Best wishes for a speedy recovery to the little one.  :)
-
They said they kept the cost Down for me ( But did they???)
-
It doesn't sound cheap for a straight forward amputation. Not sure if your vets are that much more expensive than Canterbury, Ron? Round here an amputation is around £150 at CP rates that last time I checked. :shy:
-
Ron -you are one in a million
He looks a lovely boy - the vet could have met you halfway towards the cost though :censored: :censored:
-
Ron what a gorgeous boy and thank goodness you stepped in and made room for him - his name really suits him - not sure the vets kept the costs down that much for you but hope all follow up visits and any further treatment they will cover for free
Alfie is :Luv2:

Oh my gosh, they would rather he was pts than treat him? Why did they leave it to get that bad :( Well done you for saving him

Alfie has had his first outing I got up to get a glass of water at 12-30 and found he had got out the cat flap, so i started to panic put on my coat and grabbed a torch and out i went with no shoes on I spent a good half hour looking :tired: its a wonder i never got picked up by the police looking in peoples gardens with a flash light  , i thought i will give up and went back indoors i put the kettle and thought there goes my only early night about fifteen minutes later i saw a face at the window with two big eyes staring in and crying wont you let me in i took him in :scared: and locked him in his cage for the night, went back to bed and could not sleep, now he goes to the back door and looks at the gang in the garden but does not wonder to far wit :rofl:ch is OK
-
sounds as if Alfie is bidding to become a fully paid-up member of the norty puss brigade
he should be thoroughly ashamed of himself, scaring his Uncle Ron like that, and turning him into a midnight flasher :cccooorrr:

Sounds like he's well mended, Ron and being a "Typical Cat" :evillaugh:
