Title: RIP Kayla
Post by: Maddiesmum on February 16, 2010, 16:00:14 PM
My friend, Chrissie (in Canada) lost her 21 year old cat overnight.  She had had her for 21 years and one day and Kayla passed peacefully in Chrissie's arms after a short illness.  RIP Sweet Kayla, young once more:(

I wish to thank you all for your kind replies. Dear Shiroi, Zoe, Bazsmum, Janeyk, and my dearest friend Chrissie for posting for my precious old girl.
Kayla lived a very long, happy life and both her and I were fortunate that she only declined a few short days before she passed on peacefully to the Rainbow Bridge. She is reunited with her older sister Bubbles, and her younger sister Angel, who I know met her as she arrived to start her new journey.

Thank you so much for your kindness.
Canadian Chrissie

Dear Kirst and Gill.... thank you for your kind words, and dear Janeyk, I truly appreciate your hugs.

Kayla was a lovely quiet little cat. She was fortunate to be healthy her entire life, aside from a few bad teeth which was easily fixed with a trip to the vet. She still jumped on the countertop with ease at 18. She really did not slow down much until after her 20th birthday.
I feel fortunate to have spent so many good years with her and will always miss her gentle presence.
Thank you so much for your support
Chrissie
