Trigger's food consumption can be erratic, and I find it very useful to have something on hand to test whether he is just being fussy, or has really lost his appetite
in his case it is those little tins of John West Dressed Crab - he nearly has my arm off when I offer the smelly pink paste to him on a finger
I was wondering what other posters use to test their cats - if they ever need testing, that is :shify:

With Sam, whose appetite can be erratic because of his heart condition, its the little tins of chicken applaws, I know if he'll eat that he's just being choosy!
Don't tend to have a prob with the others, but a piece of ham will soon sort those who might be bluffing! :evillaugh:

Simons saviour has been applaws chicken, handfed of course :tired:

Chicken or turkey breast (has to be breast!) or liver and bacon pate or yoghurt  :Luv2:

Noah doesn't need testing as he loves his grub, if he turned his nose up at any of his regular food he'd be straight to the vets! He has to smell everything I eat despite the fact I am virtually veggie at home: lentil soup and porridge were both met with disgusted looks, but the bowl was licked clean of scrambled egg. :) If I did need to test him it would definitely be prawns as that is the only thing bar raw that he purrs for every time.
