Bounce is a seven year old black and grey tabby. He loves fuss, but is not too keen on tummy rubs! He isn't particularly good with young children as in the past he was roughly treated by youngsters. He likes chilling out in cardboard boxes and playing with string. Bungle is a brown tabby who is six years old, and is more subdued than Bounce. He enjoys quiet time for fusses with people he trusts.
It's getting to the point now where Nicky is having to consider separating these two as she has so many newcomers and hardly any new homes being offered. If you or anyone you know can offer these boys a home, please contact Nicholaholye@aol.com

Bungle - soooo wants someone to love him. (Well, his fosterers do but it's not the same as his own home, is it?) Bungle is a brown tabby who is six years old, and is quite a subdued boy. He enjoys quiet time for fusses with people he trusts.

Still looking.

Hi, I emailed Nicola on Saturday about Bungle but not had a response.
-
Really? I'll chase it up for you. :)
-
Thought Nicky had been quiet.....it seems she's been ill and had to go to hospital. Can you PM me a phone number and I'll pass it on for you. :)
-
Thanks, I've just sent you a message (I think!), hope it gets through ok. :innocent:
-
I so hope this little chap can find a home soon.
-
Contacted them last weekend, sent my numbers via 'Jack Spratt' earlier this week and still had no contact, so am now going to see cats living locally. My heart goes out to poor Bungle.
-
Angela, not sure you read a few posts down. Nicky is in hospital. Not sure how much she's getting to use her phone.
-
Hi, yes did see she had been/is in hospital, taking it that Nicky has sole responsibility for Blackpool Cats in Care so wasn't sure what the situation would be, or whether whoever is fostering him would contact me? I will see what my circumstances are when she phones, also whether Bungle is suitable for indoor life with other cats and dog, I'm wondering what the problem is with him if he's been in for so long, when he looks so lovely. I've promised to go and see someone who rescues cats locally too, but I do know that if I don't adopt one of her cats, they will remain with her in a happy home environment. Thanks.
-
Angela, it quite often isn't that there is a 'problem' with a particular cat when they have been in rescue for so long, most of them are quiet cats (like Bungle) who dont push themselves when people come to look, and a lot of people would think 6 is too old.
-
I don't think there is always a problem in fact I would tend to go for a cat that has been waiting longer, it's such a shame for them.
-
I'll resend your number, I know Nicky has been in and out of hospital so much I'm not sure where she is! She'll be honest about Bungle but she usually tells me if there is a behavioural issue.
-
Thanks all - well I will keep my fingers crossed then.
I've only ever had one kitten who was born to a stray at my horses field, his mum was partially blind and deaf (been kicked out by a woman who was known by RSPCA), I took both home - Oscar is now nearly 9 and his mum died earlier this year (circa 18 to 20). My other cats have all been strays who came and stayed at the field and then came home. I do prefer to home older cats and find it amazing that someone would think 6 is old - my goodness, they're spring chickens! Some of the strays who I've taken on were circa 8 when they arrived and were with me for over 10 years - so a few golden oldies have enjoyed their twilight years with me.
I'll see what Nicky has to say about the way in which I keep my animals and what I've currently got - and see if she feels he would be happy here.
Merry Christmas.

Hi, didn't hear anything from Nicky, I've been to see an FIV+ boy today at a local rescue and will be adopting him. Hopefully Bungle will be lucky and will find a home soon.
-
Ok, thanks for letting me know Angela. I actually JUST received an email from Linda who cares for Bungle. I have no idea why it's taken so long..... :tired: But it said this:
"Hi Angela,
Bungle belonged to an army couple , he had 2 friends who he lived with one was rehomed and one sadly passed away. He was very frightened when I got him, but when the first friend went he came out of his shell, however he is still very timid. He is not at all dominant , and lives in the company of other cats , but can not say about dogs. Re:health issues, none come to mind that he has shown while he has been with me. He has not been FIV tested but would get him tested if it meant him getting a home. He'd also get checked by the vet before leaving. May I ask where is it you live, as Bungle is currently in Blackpool. I would be happy for him to live as a house cat; if you have a landline telephone number I can ring and have a chat. What other pets do you have, and who else lives at home?"
-
Oh poor lad. Would you mind letting them know that I am sorted please? If for any reason things don't work out I will come back to you, if I'd waited a couple of more days maybe things would have been different. Thanks for letting me know.
-
Not your fault, Angela. You weren't to know. I've told them you've already agreed to take on the FIV boy now.
-
New Bungle photo. :)
-
Bungle went to a new home with a couple where I'm assured he's going to be spoiled rotten. ;D
-
Yay! that's great news :) I'll move him now.
-
I know - made my week a lot brighter. :)
