Hello Purrs Peeps!
A cheeky little request from Cat Chat... has anyone got a little time on their hands and could help CC, with a mundane but essential on-line job??? We need several more helpers on our Annual site-wide link-checking exercise (see I told you it was mundane!)
We underdate a full link-check once a year, to ensure that all the external links on the Cat Chat pages are working, and to weed out any that are out of date, sites that have disappeared or changed, that sort of thing. Although the job isn't terribly exciting, it is very important, as having working links does two important things; it keeps Cat Chat’s search engine rankings high, and it helps to keep people on the site, both of which means more cats homed!
As you can imagine there are a large number of pages that need looking at, so we split the job between however many people want to help, and you can take as many or as few pages as you wish. You don't have to become a regular volunteer to help in this job, as there is no access to internal files or passwords needed, so we don't need to take up references as we do with full volunteers.
Our volunteer co-ordinator Joanne allocates the pages, and supplies the basic instructions, so if you have a bit of spare time and fancy helping out, just drop her a line at: cotton_cat@catchat.org
Please say roughly how many pages you would like to start with (you can always come back for more!).

I still have as much snow and hells bells am going to have to dig the car out tomorrow to get to Swansea
