Poor Maisie went to the vets today as shes been having problems with her mouth on and off for some time. Well apparently she has severe gingivitis -been given steroids and has to go back in 2 weeks to have all her teeth out !! :(
Vet said they were collecting her bit by bit cos 1st they took her ears now her teeth  Please send our little girl lots of vibes for the 27th Jan x

poor maisie hopefully she will be more comfortable afterwards

Oh dear, poor Maisie :( I'm sure she'll feel so much better afterwards though. Schui had an autoimmune problem and suffered terribly with his mouth but once all his teeth were removed was tons better - hopefully Maisie will be too
-
Aw, poor wee girl, but I'm sure she'll feel much better once her teeth are sorted out
Send her a cuddle from me and Mr Poot xx

Poor thing. Tachi had to have 6 of his teeth out due to that too. He certainly still has the same appetite though.
Please don't worry. She'll be fine.

Thankyou all for the good wishes. Maisie appreciates it :Luv: Shes a bit lethargic at the moment. Im guessing thats the steroid jab she had :(

Sending well wishes for the op, hope she feels better and has a speedy recovery afterwards. If you don't mind me asking, what happened to her ears?

Maisie was picked up as a tray by CP Dec 2008 and her ears were very badly damaged ? sun damage. They removed her ears due to the risk of them turning cancerous. When she came to us in May she was incredibly nervous and lived under the settee for weeks and weeks. Shes so much better now but still a bit nervous. Hate having to put her through this op as feel we.re betraying her newfound trust but know its got to be done :'(

Sending tons of positive vibes for her op, dont worry her mouth will feel better so you will be forgiven!
-
Vibes sent for Maisie, she will forgive once her mouth is all better

My Tilly was exactly the same and only has 1 fang tooth left, which she uses to hook her bickies out of the bowl with. :evillaugh:
Maisie will feel a lot better after it's done. :)  Be prepared for lots of dribbling and drooling while she gets used to the new feel of her mouth. Nothing to worry about, all perfectly natural. ;)

Noah suggests you feed prawns after the event, being his favourite treat he is confident they have magical healing properties. :sneaky:

Well Maisies home having had 6 teeth out ! They left her with her 4 canines. They told us when we picked her up she probably wouldnt want to eat for a few days .... Well ........ nobody told Maise !!
Within an hour of being home she was mosying around our others cats bowls so I gave her a bowl of chicken (minced up) and shes polished off the lot  Shes peed pooped and drunk so her meowmys happy :) She says thankyou all for your good wishes cos they certainly helped
