Hi
Now all 5 of my cats have passed away and are pictured below, the most recent being yesterday, 23/06/15. She will be cremated Friday 26/06/15. We prefer a private cremation and we get their ashes back in a wooden cat.
Paws - Female - Ginger and White - 10th October 1994 - 29th April 2009 - Died from bladder tumour at home.

Gorgeous girls :Luv: must be so hard to lose them in such quick succesion  If you believe in Rainbow Bridge then take some comfort in the fact that they will be together again, waiting for you until you are ready to collect them
-

Thanks folks.
Paws was a little diva but adoreable and loving. When it was feeding time, she'd be the ring leader that would bug us :naughty: Would sit on my chair used when on PC and just sit there with me.
Dopey was dumb but an angel and crazy. So happy go lucky. Not an aggressive bone in her body. Miss her jolly attitude
Chubby loved human company. She was the top cat, but used no aggression. Quite often one of the others would slap her across the face and she'd just stand there and the other cat would still run away. She loved all the others and they loved and respected her back, slaps aside.

RIP beautiful babes, play hard at Rainbow Bridge xxx

Thanks
I'm not sure what to do as we bought softer food for Chubby when she was ill. I can give it to my other two, but it makes me feel sad as it reminds me of Chubby and being ill.
-
Aw dont be sad, think of the food as a good thought as this obviously Chubby enjoyed!
-
You can either think of Chubby happily sharing the food with her two remaining friends, or perhaps you would prefer to donate the food to a rescue in her memory? Chubby did a last special favour for you, bringing you to Purrs, what a sweetheart.
-
Thanks for the replies, sorry in my delay, i've taken time out and couldn't face it.
The food is now gone and my 2 left are enjoying all the other various foods out there.
They are just moving on. It saddens me that cats don't have any real grieving process, although in another way i'm glad. They spent their whol lives together and nothing...
Anyway, thanks for all the comments, i'm struggling a bit right now so hopefully i'll come through at some point.
-
Take every day as it comes, grieving is good (although it does not feel like it at the time!)

R.I.P Dopey and Chubby play hard and have a good life at Rainbow Bridge
-
I'm ashamed to admit that i've not been here for nearly a year. I've not dealt with losing the cats well and have gone a bit off track and hidden away. I still have my other two, but I know time is getting more limited with them.
Tuesday will signal one year since Chubby passed away and I buy an ornament/toy or whatever for each anniversary of passing. I bought one each for Paws and Dopey, but i'm having trouble finding anything for a fat ginger cat, so i'm popping over to the pawsinourhearts shop in hope of finding something.
-
:welcome: back and we all know its so very hard
-
Thanks Gill :shy:
I'll try and stick around this time :shy:
Is the purrsinourhearts shop good? I'll have to look elsewhere for an ornament, but a couple of things in the shop interest me
-
Yes the shop is brill and run by Tan the site owner...........the Purmuda triangles were given to my cats for Christmas and they love them.......highly nipped ;D
But there are so many good toys.
-
Oh right, it has to be good then :naughty:
I'll have a good look around. I think the award certificates are going to look good on my wall. Now to think what to have written on them :evillaugh:
-
One year today since my Chubby :tired:
Every day feels weird, but the mentality of it being one year today makes it even stranger.
Will have a nice piece of steak in her memory later :Luv:
Not very good with words, so I can't say much else :scared:
-

-
RIP Chubby, safe and sound at the Bridge
-
Four years since Chubby today.
Miss ya fatty.
-

-
5 years since Dopey today :(
With all of the concerns with Minty, I hadn't posted about Dopey (although I didn't post about Paws in April either)
Sometimes i'm just too sad to post, others I love too.
Just had a jacket potatoe with tuna in honour of Dopey, who was a bit of a dustbin when it came to food, yet she was never a big cat
-
I find anniversaries very sad and loads of these for you
-
:thanks:
They are very sad.
I just feel guilty as it's Dopey's day and Minty is ill, so Dopey has had to share the day and....oh i'll always feel guilty about them in one way or another.
Dopey knows I love her.

5 years since Chubby today.
Can't believe it's been so long. It feels just like yesterday she was cuddling in with me at night. Miss the tubby monster greatly.
-

  You love them, Miroslav. No need for guilt.

Updated to add Minty.
All 5 together again and i'll be ready to join them when it's my time.
-
RIP Minty

-
Oh Miroslav.  I'm so sad for you. I know how very much you and Minty meant to each other. RIP gorgeous girl. :'(
-
RIP Minty you will always be a purr in your daddys heart
Just so sad Miroslav
-
I'm empty.
Well over 20 years without a cat in my home somewhere and it's...empty.
Just like with the others, I keep expecting to see her in her chair or on my bed or scuffing the litter area and hearing her meow for me to go and see her.....but nothing :(
They are all together now and I know I could have done no more, no matter what I try and find to blame myself for.
Nobody I know understands my love for them. In one way it angers me, in another way I pity them for not having what I had.
-
We all understand and sadly most have been there and I just had to go out and find another cat....two actually and then another two who are sadly on the Bridge now, so another one and have 3.
I couldnt stand the empty house and no food dishes etc etc.
So feel for you
-
Bless you Miroslav. I think your Purrs friends all understand how alone you're feeling. As Gill remarked, most of us have stood in that place too, and if we could ease the pain we would. As it is, we can mourn with you, and for Minty, the last of her feline family.
-
we all understand, I agree people who don't have my pity
-
I have a small wooden plaque with a cat on it and these words
Cats make our live purr-fect, and our houses home.
It's true. That's why the sense of loss weighs heavy on our hearts when we lose a furry friend.
I understand as do we all at Purrs.
Play hard with your friends on the bridge Minty
-
I'm glad you all understand, although I wish none of us ever had to understand.
I like the sound of your plaque hollycat.
-
From left to right
Paws, Chubby, Dopey, Moses and then Minty nearest the camera with her back end facing it.
Always used to get huddles of all 5 in various positions.
-
Awwwwwwwwwwwww ;D ;D
They were littermates?
-
The four gingers were.
Moses was two months older than the gingers. He was two months old when we got him and two months later we got the 4 girls and they were two months old. We only went out looking for a friend for him and we took all 4 of the girls. He couldn't believe his luck. :Luv2:
-
I bet lol and Lupin would be the same ;D ;D
-
He never got anything though.
A few years ago, Minty starting squealing any time he went close so they would rarely be near each other. A shame as Moses wanted to be friends but Minty was a stresshead and never forgave him for something.
Chubby would bodyslam him if he tried anything and would protect little Paws from him. Dopey would slap him back too, but Dopey and Moses were close. We nicknamed them the half whiteys, as they were half white and half ginger or black. They were both so happy go lucky.
Moses wasn't a bad cat though, he was amazingly friendly - he just wanted to play all the time and the gingers wanted some rest. Moses just never wanted to stop playing. They all looked after each other despite Minty and Moses having a big issue - they were just amazing cats who gave so much love and so much fun.
-
Great memories
-

-
It's been well over a year since I was last here - I am still cat-less.
Today is 7 years since Dopey passed on. Still sorely missed and wherever she is, I hope she, and they, are looking after each other.
-
SO SAD YOU ARE STILL CATLESS AND HOPE DOPEY IS HAVE LOADS OF GOOD TIMES ON THE BRIDGE
