Title: Looking for contest traffic!
Post by: CoolCyberCats on December 07, 2009, 19:06:26 PM
Hi all! My website holds a contest every month. You can submit your cat's image then vote every day on your favorite. Each month the winner gets prizes mailed to them! No catch or strings, really! Our 1st winner was from the Netherlands too! I do not get a lot of traffic to the contest and am hoping I can convince a few of you to go there and enter. At worst case you waste a few minutes of your life. At best case you win and get some prize(es)!

If you want to take a look then go to http://www.coolcatpix.com (http://www.coolcatpix.com).

Thanks,

David

Hi Bazsmum,
Thanks for helping get more into the contest! Since you entered 10 days into the December Contest you are going to be behind in votes! Make sure to get your friends to go to the contest page and vote! You do not need to be a member to vote.

BTW: One of the other entries is from someone in Germany! So this month is truely a multinational contest with entries from Germany, UK and USA!

Can I vote for Maisey too or does it have to be other people?  :sneaky:

Tis okay as I just read that I can!  :wow:

Purrs members!

We've had several people recently - mostly from the US - posting up links to websites that ostensibly offer prizes for photos of your cat.  I must advise you to be cautious when considering whether to participate.  These 'competitions' are not endorsed by Purrs.

Nope, not purrs endorsed.  But I am a member on Purrs, know Tan (via internet) and my site has been online since close to 1999 and has never ever sent email spam, sold member info or anything like that. My cats really do run a nice, clean, safe and friendly site.

I sell cat toys  to raise money for animal charities (mostly in the USA) and sell stock to several shelters here so they can make some needed money in their stores as well. And I do have an eBay 100% charity auction going on right now for Cat CHat

Over all your statement is right though. and of course I am jaded towards my site being fair and nice. :)

:thanks: CoolCyberCats both for pointing out some of the pitfalls and for the assurance that your site is 'clean' - if I can use that word - and safe  :)
