Hi,
Well,I've been Daisy's slave now for around 3 months now, she's settled in very well, very vocal when she want's fed & can be very fussy about her food :evillaugh:.One thing she wont eat are cat treats.
I bought some Dreamies & Bob Martins cat treats the other day & apart from a sniff, she turned her nose up at them. :sneaky:
Anyway,Normally she get's half to three quarter of a tin of Kit-E-Kat per day & the is a dish of Go Kat for indoor cats left out for her to graze on.She prefers small meals thruout the day instead of two or three larger meals. She also has P@H Purely every other day with fish as I believe the fish is good for her with the Omega oils & get's a cooked Chicken leg on Sunday.(well,we have our Sunday lunch, why should'nt she?) :wow:
I leave a big pan of fresh drawn water out for her but I have never seen her drink any nor does the water level go down! She's sniffed at the water a few times & walked away,I've tried different bowls but nope.
Is this normal for a cat not to drink?
I know cats get 80% ish of their water from their food as they're mainly desert animals.
Thanks,
Merv

In the (almost) 3 years we've had Jess I can count on one hand how many times I've seen him drink. I add 2 spoonsfuls of water onto his wet food now after he had bladder issues.
Milo on the other hand drinks when he feels like it.
We also have a water fountain to try and encourage them to drink but Jess isn't interested in it and Milo splatters water everywhere.

Most of my mainly wet food eater's I hardly ever see drink and I am around them 24/7! ;) The preferer's for dry can drink for England!
-
I very rarely saw my cats drink when I had younger ones but with the oldies they usually tend to drink more.

I wouldnt worry too much
but hope you dont mind me saying that i would scrap the Go-Cat dry food for something better xxxx

I hardly ever see Poot drinking, but he's mainly on a wet diet.
That PUrely stuff is good, we've not tried the dry yet, but the chicken pouches went down really well here ;D

Ummmmm its cheap enough....
do any of the more clever purrs people know how it shapes up on quality please
-
Not sure about the wet but the dry is good quality - not quite as good as their own in the silver bag (purely doesn't have glucosamine etc added) but way better than any supermarket own brand or go-cat/Whiskas dry.
-
The Purely wet is good meat content - I'm convinced that they are the same as Hi LIfe pouches. :)

Same here, very similar in terms of consistency, smell, and evidently taste if Poot's reaction was anything to go by :evillaugh:

I hate the smell and texture of the Purely, but the ingredients aren't bad (can only get to the Salmon Box). First ingredient is fresh fish (Fresh Salmon Min 26%), Poultry Meat Meal, Rice (min 20%) - they are the first three ingredients, which I think are quite good - there is apparently a minimum of 30% fish, the other 4% must be the fish meal. There are vegetables and fruit in it. It is hypoallergenic too. Not a lot of choice in flavour though, only chicken or salmon, but oldies only get chicken.
