This video has been posted on another forum and the person in question is a bit upset by it all.
Can anyone explain why this cat is reacting the way it does? And ways to prevent it.
There is some text next to the video explaining some things and the video does contain some swearing *Just a heads up* :)

I find that video very disturbing and could not see the end of the text.
My first thought is that someone has kicked or hit the cat in the past the cat and its therefore reacting to the feet and what they are wearing but without knowing more about the situation its very hard to give advise.
The cat seem very scared to me but dont know who its attacking in the video and if its the owner or not.
The cat needs to be seen by a vet and possibly referred on for a behaviorist to come into the home but this really depends on what the actual situation there is.

which text could you not see Gill?
apparently they are in Spain and while he is taking her to the vets his Spanish is rubbish

Thanks. I don't think the person in the video is the owner, he's a friend of the owner i believe.
He hasn't given any more information than that.

Here is the text Gill.
I moved into a room in a flat 5 weeks ago. I'm living with another guy that has this cat (Nina). She'd previously been attacking another temporary flatmate before I moved in. I thought he must've just smelt like a dog or summin, and for the first few weeks she was cool...
...then she started going for me!
At first I got pretty ripped up (trousers mean nothing to cat teeth and claws when used properly!). Then I fashioned some robocop-esque leg armour from some packing boxes and I was cool. Well if you class cool as having to wear armour everytime you gotta go home.
Anyway, this video shows her doing an attack. She just flips when you try walk past her. One night I was stroking her for about 10 mins, then she slept next to me, then when I left room she followed me and when I walked by her - BAM
If anyone's got any ideas, or experiences like this pls comment. My flatmate has been away for 2 weeks, and is coming back in another 2. So it's just me and her. This ain't fun man trust me....she leaves me shaking every time!
I've tried this feramone releasing plu-in-the-wall thing...no effect. I'm feeding her twice a day...once she attacked me when I was holding her 2 food plates in my hands (one dry, one wet...man that stuff stinks).
So yeah, I'm gonna take her to the vet (which is the ultimate solution i guess). But I'm in Spain and my spanish is crap. Well, I'll sort summin.

Thanks Icould only see first few lines of that text.
Very difficult as he is in Spain cos have no idea how vets work over there,
I still think first port of call is vets to rule out any medical probs but think this is a cat that has been terrified in some way by people.......owner maybe?
Could be an ex feral? off the streets and its history would be useful to anyone trying to treat.
Zykline (sp?) may help but in this country a referral to a behaviourist like Vicky Halls would be the probable way forward. She may do an over the phone thing cos she has been in Europe recently doing talks etc. Her website can be found on a search.
Another way forward is to get a toy on string on a stick and use that to try and distract away from feet or when it attacks in other situations. It may or not help.

I've seen a feral cat react in that way once. Hard to conclude with no history, have they only just adopted the cat? what's the cat's history, do they know? from seeing that I'd definitely say the cat is fearful, sad to see it actually :( the advice I'd give would be to get some expert advice the cat may need alot of working with.

Noah did not like that clip at all! Poor kitty, It's not great that her owner is going away for four weeks leaving her with the flatmate who has not long moved in - must be very unsettling?? >:(

I don't think this person has any previous history.
He hasn't responded to me yet either.
