I went to the rescue on Saturday afternoon, (was talking about it on<a href="http://www.chaptanservices.com/purrs/index.php?topic=2742.msg43720#bot" target_blank> this thread[/url].) saw lots of young kittens and young cats, very pretty, playful etc, even a blue moggy ((swoon)) but fell in love with a huge monster of a white and tortie girl!! :Luv: :Luv:
"Fudge" as we call her, (she was called Fatima as shes soooo fat! lol) is 5/6 years old, white with gorgeous torie markings on her head and back, spayed etc, and absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! Shes also very very fat :) She is a proper lapcat, a big fussy furball and everyone loves her to bits!
She came upto the mesh in the rescue and purred all over the place, rubbing up against it and enjoying a fuss through the meshing. The kids wanted this mad kitten who was trying his best to escape, and kept biting them through the mesh! :-:But then when they saw Fudge too, they fell in love.
She is so sweet, just wants lots of cuddles and love, she is exactly what we wanted from a cat, a quiet fussball who wants to sleep on your bed and lie in your lap. My daughter is besotted, and so am I!!!
For the first day all my hubby could say is "shes fat" because we couldnt believe just how fat she really is, she just fit into a catbox, and my hubby had trouble lifting it! She can only jump as high as the settees seats because of her weight! :-[
The strangest part is, she doesnt eat a lot at all! I will put a bowl of her fave biscuits down in the morning and by noon there are still half a bowl left, and I'm only just covering the bottom of the bowl with biscuits, I have tried other treats but she just picks the same at them too.
I thought she might be pregnant but shes too big even for that lol and I've been told shes been spayed and never had kittens, so shes just fat! Poor soul! :Luv:
Her nickname is "Big Momma" :rofl:
I will have to upload some pics! The thread about the biggest cat in the world, Thomas, well he looks like Fudge's twin size wise lol!

Wooo Hooo congratulations. Can't wait to see pics of "fatty" .... ooops I mean Fudge! LOL. She sounds wonderful.

PAH do a dry 50% less fat food that mine all seem to like, maybe you could that? It seems to be doing them some good! (we have a tubby tortie!!)
She might not be eating straight away as she is settling in - watch out for monster eating after a while LOL thats what Gerti did :)

Welcome to tubb.....I mean Fudge!!
May be wise to have an MOT at the vets and maybe check whether she has an underactive thyroid causing her rotundity.
