Title: One year of Alfieness brings much 'appyness
Post by: LeighK on March 21, 2007, 07:42:46 AM
Hi all,

It doesn't seem it but today is the 1st Anniversay of adopting Alfie. He's had his special breakfast treat of Sheba and Frankie and Suzie say I like these special days as we get special food too, when are our days again ? :).

Happy adoption day little fella, you've brought me so much joy, we've come a long way in scuch a short time, you've shone like a beacon throughout a very black year.

xx Leigh, Suzie and Frankie

PS. Suzie says "I'll still hiss at you but secretly I do like having you around" and Fat Frankie says "When do you get another special day Alfie ?, that food was delicious, fancy another game of tag up and down the stairs ?" :)

PPS: Frankie says "Do us a little favour Alf, I really like you licking me but can you do it when the human isn't around, it's kinda embarrasing for my carefully cultivated macho image :)"

:catluv:'appyness is Alfieness :Party 3:

Alfie I think Adoption days are better than Birthdays, birth is something that happens to us all but being Adopted means you are special, you are the chosen one and you were certainly chosen by a lovely caring daddy.
So have a lovely Adoption Day Anniversary

Hi all you cat lovers,

Alfie here, shsssssssssssh bacause my dad doesn't know I'm typing this :), in fact he desn't know that I can type,  it is a bit difficult because they don't make these keys big enough for our paws do they ?!., what's that all about ?!.

Thank you for your lovely messages, I've had a great day, it started very well with my breakfast of Sheba, I loved it and so did Frankie and Suzie, nice nosh that, can't understand why we don't get it every day, I'll have tio try my extra cute look more often it might get dad ro buy more of that stuff :). Dad got me three new micies, not one but three !!, I had great fun playing with them and, as it is a "special" day, I even loaned one to Frankie, note I said loaned not given :). Dad got Panic Mouse out and Frankie and I had great fun chasing it around then we all took a nice long nap and Dad gave us some more of that Sheba stuff and my favourite Whiskas crunch biscuits, arrrrrrrr heaven, pure bliss :). I didn't much like the Chicken Provencal I think it was called, Frankie loved it, always said that he has strange tastes, he'lll eat anything so I put on my cutest look and dad gave me some haddock and cod, that suits my plain taste in food, a guy knows where he is with cod and haddock :) .

I've had a really happy year, at first I hid under the bed and I wouldn't let dad stroke my tummy, what a silly thing to do, he's an alright sort of bloke, didn't take me long to get my paws under the table, two meals a day and biscuits on tap day and night, nice and comfy bed a nice lap to curl up on, no sir!, no more straying for me in the cold and wet, I've hung up my straying boots for good :). Then he brought home that Suzie cat, she's an odd one, won't let me get near enough to lick her and hisses at me, strange these female types, very highly strung, dad explained though, apparently she's 102 years of age in his years and me, just out of my teens, she has all her own teeth and doesn't need a walking frame so that put things into perspective, not bad going 'ol girl, not bad going at all. Then he brought that big black cat home, told me he has FiV too like me. Didn't take long to get to know each other, he's my mate Frankie is, no hissing, loves his food and bed and to play tag, a real soul mate he is and he even lets me lick him just like I do to dad.

So all in all, a great year.

Loud purrs and big headbuts

Alfie

PS. Lynn I can sleep on anything, any place, anytime, I can sleep for England :)

Thanks everyone.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhsssshhhhhhhhhhhh Sarah, I'm trying to keep this paw dexterity thing a big secret. If Dad finds out he might expect me to do other things, washing up, cooking, hoovering, ironing, there's no end to the things that I COULD do if I wanted to but it's so much fun to watch him do it, except of course for Henry the Hoover, that's not fun, we all hate Henry the Hoover, noisey jumped up little twerp that he is, if I could find Dad's screwdriver set I'd take his fuse out, Henry that is not Dad :). I fixed us all  anice round of meat paste sandwiches the other day whilst Dad was out, I like it thinly spead, as does Suzie, but Frankie of course likes it thickly spread with lots of butter. I cut them all up in dainty triangles, they slipped down a treat and thenb I  swept up every crumb, Dad never noticed, these humans are so un-observant :).

Mum's the word !, well Dad's the word really but you get my drift ;).

Gotta go, Dad's coming, time to roll on my back, miaow and look my most inocent cutest :)

Loud purrs

xx Alfie
