Title: Third eyelids
Post by: JackSpratt on October 27, 2009, 12:39:48 PM
One of Mogs eyes is runny and has a small amount of third eyelid showing. She doesn't seem to feel ill and is eating, drinking, toileting and grumbling as usual.

I'm cleaning it as and when it needs it. How long should I just check it before I start to get worried and cart her to the vets?

Yep, just a tiny bit in the corner. She's completely herself other than that though.

Called the vet today and he said the same Gill. If she's not showing any other sign of illness he told me to watch it, but feels it's likely to rectify itself. He said if I wanted to do something fucithalmic twice a day would possibly help, but it's likely to sort itself out. I have some fucithalmic in so figured it won't hurt.

Hope Carrie's eye clears up quick JS

I did wonder about Ruby's 3rd eyelids as they have been pretty noticeable recently and she's been sneezing a great deal with runny nose.  No sign of infection (i.e. gunk).   Everything else seems tickety boo with her so I haven't done anything.

She didn't show any other sign of being ill to begin with BM, that's the odd part. Trying the fucithalmic as suggested by the vet, but if there's no improvement Old Mog has to go to see him I think.
