OK, it might just be because I'm tired but can someone explain the dosage in idiot terms?
"Weaned puppies and kittens under six months of age and lungworm in cats: 1 sachet per 4kg (9lb) bodyweight daily for 3 days."
So if the kitten is say 3lb does that mean that the sachet is given in three separate doses over three days? I'm definitely too tired for this!

not a clue.....is it suitable for a kitten that small?
Ask the vet
-
Yes and yes! ;)

I have only ever used the liquid, which is a certain ml for 3 consecutive days. Kitten milbemax might be lot easier though, that is just one dose, but can't remember the minimum age for it.

So what's the best thing to use for a three month old kitten? It's just a precaution but I've read that a lot of kittens develop worms from their mothers milk.
-
give it half a milbemax (small) that should do the trick. :)

Thank you Sarah! I'm so nervous about medicating my cats. (You should've seen me when I first started giving Toby insulin jabs - he was calmer than me! :shy:)

Paste or liquid panacur is easier for small ones as cutting the powder up is messy.
If you use the sachet and he weighs 1kg he would need a quarter for 3 days. I would use drontal or milbemax as less mess and i find more effective at offloading worms, have treated little ones with panacur several times and never got any worms out til they had drontal.
I worm every 2 weeks til 12 weeks and then every 4 wks til 24 weeks old

I have drontal in - would half be right for him?
-
Yes! ;D

Thanks BM, didn't dare do it until I got a response!

Little Man's been done, so far no sign of nasties - so he's just a podgy little guy! ;)
