The vet has booked her in for thursday this week 8)
-
Wish Makosi a fast recovery.
I wasnt too bad with the boys getting done but felt awful for the girls.
-
yea same here
its always the women that has to suffer more then the men thou isnt it lol
-
Don't get me started on men, I would like to castrate a few myself, human sort that is.
When I took the girls to be spayed I cried at the vets, how stupid did I look. :shy:
-
e but felt awful for the girls.
I know what you mean but it is a decision of kindness, as spaying helps prevent life threatening diseases.
-
awwww
well all of my girls have been really well as soon as i picked them up from the vet
i remeber picking up flossy thou and she looked like a wounded little soldier bless her , they had already put the lampshade collar on her ,she had a patch of fur missing on her paw from the drip
she was so sleepy on the way home too , and when i took her bk to have the sticthes removed the vet said she had done a diy job and there were no stitches left :wow:
little madam :Luv:
-
and when i took her bk to have the sticthes removed the vet said she had done a diy job and there were no stitches left
How didn't you notice?
-
it looked to me like there was still one of the stitches there , i saw that some had dissapeared and when i rang the vet she said as long as the wound is healing well then its ok but please bring her in so i can check and when i did the vet said no they r all out :wow:
-
hope everything goes ok on thursday, was she still abit poorly today or what happened to them booking her in for tomorrow ?
-

I am so pleased to hear she is finally getting spayed, thought you would have pushed for sooner rather than later though. Fingers crossed she doesn't come into heat between now and then.

-

-
Am sure she will be fine Forever, I am in a similar boat to you today!!
-
Well its just over a week since Letty and Daffy were spayed and they're back to normal in every way apart from that very neat little incision on their flanks... and some missing fur! I'm sure Makosi will be fine... who've you got in, Desley? :Luv:

-
oh i see
i hope all goes ok
-
only 38mins to go then i can fone n see how she is
-
Hope she is fine!!
-
Hope everything went well, is Makosi back yet?
-
We went to get her at 5 ,shes fine ,the vet said she had been hiding under her blanket in her carrier till she heard my voice then she quickly showed her face and started purrring
when we got in the others were all happy to c her ,she eat a bit of food
then the little madame started licking her wound so the head collar has had to go on
is it ok for her to have it on over night while we r asleep and cant watch her , she sleeps in our room thou so its not as if she will b on her own , what about if i go out do i need to keep it on her or take it off ?
how long do i need to keep it on for ?not the whole 10 tens till stitches r removed surely???????
my other cats didnt lick or pick at theres till about the 6th or 7th day .
im so glad shes home n ok anyway and least she been done now .
-
Am so glad to hear she is fine, you will have to show us a new pic of her now. The idea of the collar is that it is one when you can't supervise her, I let mine have time out for each mealtime and then an hour strictly supervised - i sometimes make them keep it on for the full 10 days, sometimes not, depends really.
-
Right ok , so ill see how she goes eating her food while its on if not take it off at meal times and ill defo give her a break of about an hour supervised during the day
i feel guilty when they have to wear them collars they must feel uncomfortable , the vet said she was very good at the hospital and didnt try n lick her wound once :shify:
they had to give her a really small lampshade collar ( a kitten size one ) where shes so tiny lol
the dog keeps giving her strange looks lol
and bridie keeps following her everywhere lol
is it true they can get the collars off ?
-
The only way they can get the collars off is if they aren't fastened properly - talking from experience here!! If it wasn't safe to leave them on unsupervised, they wouldnt still be being used, although there are newer versions on the market now.
-
So pleased this has gone well ;D
-
So pleased Makosi is OK
No more "messing around in the pool" for Makosi :evillaugh:
-
Yippee, at last. I am so pleased that Malosi was not pregnant and adding to the number of kittens that are being born.
-
Hi and thanks everyone
shes managing to eat n drink with the collar on so ive not took it off yet at all
im so glad shes been spayed now
but ill feel even better once the wound is healed and stiches r out and fur grows bk :Luv:
-
Ther fur will grow back in no time, good to hear she fit n well.
-
glad she is doing ok!
-
:thanks:
-
Very glad she wasnt pregnant :) guess you'll never know what made her stop calling!
-
aslong as shes fit and healthy i dont care what made her stop calling
i was so terrified of her having the pyo womb infection thing
shes feeling a bit sorry for herself with the head collar on today bless her :Luv:
-
I Am so glad the vet didn't find anything wrong with her when spayed. Bless her, wont be long till she gets it off, and that and the stitches are so little when you think of all the benefits of her being spayed.
