There is an unneutered tom that lives locally and he keeps biting Arty :( It's been a while since any incidents and I thought things had calmed down but it seems not :(
Poor little guy had a bad bite on his tail and had to go to the vets this morning (thankfully they are open on Sundays) as his tail was swollen and oozing
I've live here a year and in that time my cats have both been attacked several times and scratched a lot and we've had 4 trips to the vets for antibiotics due to bites
I don't know what to do :( Every time he came in the garden I chased him out and now he seems to respect the boundary and sits in the garden next door. Its only when my cats venture out of the our garden that they get hurt.
The fence around the garden is 6ft, I'm thinking about looking into adapting it to be cat proof so they can't get out. I don't want to restrict their freedom but this combined with pixie getting hit by a car is definately reason to try and do something.
Any advice would great, especially if anyone has catproofed their garden and how the cats have adapted to it.
thanks

Tans cats were catproofed since kittenhood and there are loads others on Purrs

My cats go into a catproofed garden that is concreted over....No probs here at all, but then I do have a big house with two flights of stairs and a few large cat trees! ;)
Worth every penny in my book! ;)
Have you thought about getting the cat neutered yourself? :sneaky:

I hadn't, although I have thought about frontlining him as he has fleas and is clearly allergic to them, his skin is bad. I don't expect getting into fights helps either!
I'm trying to find out if he belongs to anyone around here but I've not had much luck. I don't see him much now it's colder and wetter but when I do I might try putting a collar on him with a message to see if he does have a human. If not, the local CPL are doing free neutering so I will think about it.
He's such a handsome boy, I wish he would play nice. He looks like such a softie, it's hard to imagine he could hurt my kitties so much!

He's lovely :Luv: :Luv:

Aw he has such a sweet face! :Luv2:
Would stop a lot of his aggression and a much easier solution for now! ;)
Im sure you would be able to get a voucher no probs! ;D

I agre with finding out who he belongs to, and getting the neutering and fleas rectified if he is a stray. If he's hormonal and itchy then he is going to be pretty grouchy! >:(
-
He looks alot like my old George did :Luv2: remember tho its not his fault someone has failed him and let him roam around with his ball balls! All those hormones make you ready for a fight
He probably lives on the streets so its nice someone is taking notice of him ;D

What a lovely face ;D

This when they were getting on ok, aslong as they respected each others personal space. My neighbours garden is a bit of a jungle!
Gordon (as we've named him!) would stay on that side of the fence and everything would be fine. Don't know why they have fallen out after getting along :(

Maybe there is a new queen in town and he now views Arty as competition?
