Title: Looking for an outdoor ledge for Willow.
Post by: Mark on October 20, 2009, 06:36:07 AM
Something like this but one that can be left fixed to the ledge outside. it isn't big enough for her to lie down - I could use some wood and two vices but it wouldn't look very nice  :evillaugh: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cosy-Place-Cat-Shelf-Bed_W0QQitemZ150380947197QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=&rvr_id=&cguid=ebca1ba011c0a0e20405bd85fffa3e6f

Thanks Angie,

I am looking for something that I can screw onto the ledge rather than something that I need to drill holes etc as I am hopeless at DIY and so is OH  :evillaugh:

I'm on a roll today, stumbled across this site and looky what they have! Looks plastic so suitable for outdoors perhaps?

Thanks but I have seen those and they need to be fixed to something - I need one similar to the one in the link with vice type things that just tighten up under the ledge. I think I might order one of those and try it without the fleece cover on. Maybe a bit of rubber matting will work for on top?

It will depend on what is underneath the fleece cover. If it is a composite MDF type thing then it may blow apart when it rains. If it's  more solid wood you could just varnish it up, pop on a bit of rubber matting and off you go ;D

I guess I can take a chance. Even MDF can be painted to seal it? - could be cheap & nasty chipboard though - only one way to find out........ :evillaugh:
