Title: VIYO nutritional prebiotic drink for cats. Mmm!
Post by: Purrlishious on October 12, 2009, 13:26:36 PM
Has anyone else tried this drink for cats?

Purdy loves it which I am pleased about as she has had digestive/poo probs ever since she was spayed.

It's a prebiotic caramel liquid.

I have to say she or her flatulence & urgency is so much better & less often & would recommend it to any one for good digestive health.

She knows where it is in the cupboard & sits there at night waiting for it & licks every drop.

Thanks!

I requested a dry food sample from Arovit and got sent a 400g bag plus a £5 voucher (no minimum spend, free delivery!) for their website which I intend to use to buy this cat milk.

We were given a couple of boxes to try out at Glee and assured that all cats like them. I have tried them out and to be honest the cats did not seem that bothered though I have been more than tempted to have a go myself as they smell so nice.

With a test bed of some 30 -40 cats between myself and judith I think we are sticking to the lacto-B and prokolin.

We tried out the adult and kitten ones.

Think i saw it on vet uk, expensive for what it is. Lacto b and pro soluble are a good alternative  ;D

Sorry if this sounds like an advert, I am just quoting off the pack!! Was pleased to get 400g, by recorded delivery IIRC, and a £5 voucher with no conditional spend. The cat milk is under £7 for a multipack so worth using the voucher against that for another (almost) freebie.

My cats are suspicious of anything new so will stick with lacto b I think.

Drink is adored by my cat, think you are suppose to give it before they eat in the morning for it to set them up for the day. I checked what's in it and it does seem quite good stuff just abit put off by the Watchdog slanting prebiotic drinks or is this probiotic?

The VIYO cat milk is prebiotic, it contains nutrients that will feed probiotic bacteria. I never recommend purchasing probiotic drinks to my human clients, I suggest Acidophilus as a freeze dried capsule. The capsules contain billions of bacteria in a stable form, the drinks contain millions of bacteria in an unstable form ... if the drinks aren't kept at the correct temperature the bacteria die. If you have a cat with digestive issues or who has had antibiotics I would expect the LactoB to be far more effective; for general health the VIYO milk will do fine tho it is very expensive without a discount code!!
