Well after a very long and exhausting day where it would seem we hit road works every step of the way delaying us and making the journey much longer tan we'd hoped we finally got home late last night.
Chilli has been great and i'm ashamed to say I'd forgotten how pretty she is. She also shows up just how big Dave is :shocked: She's such a delicate, petite little thing. She explored everywhere, discovered Dave's favourite sleeping place (boiler cupboard), had a bit to eat and then came for a lovely smoochy cuddle and dribbled everywhere! There has been the odd hiss and grumble but that doesn't bother Dave, he's determined to be friends with her again and stands his ground :evillaugh:
We have had several more cuddling sessions today, I think she is far more aware of who I am than Dave was and has been very quick to settle. No hiding the way Dave did at first. She's always been quite a confident cat in that respect though. She has quickly found that she rather likes sleeping on the dining chairs and has spent most of her day snoozing off the travelling tiredness there.
To say I am relieved would be an understatement! I hope she carries on in this relaxed way and actually think she is very happy to have me back. Not that she wasn't very well cared for because they both were but I think she feels she's home more than Dave did. Dave on the other hand would probably have quite happily walked back to Bonnielass' given the opportunity in the first 24 hours :evillaugh:
Now Miss Chilli is still camera shy and does her squirming around the second you point a camera vaguely in her direction, no matter how soundly asleep she was when you crept up to her so these piccies aren't that great but thought I'd better give you all something :evillaugh:
This morning Dave was trying to make friends so Chilli hid behind the microwave for a bit :evillaugh:

Had me giggling, I looked up (my flat is open plan lunge/dining/kitchen) and all I could see were these two little black ears peeking over the top of the garlic :evillaugh:
Just wanted to clarify the worries some have of her escaping out the front door and disappearing onto a busy road or whatever. I live in a traditional tenement building so even if she got out my front door she would get into the main hall and no further. The main door is always shut and it's not a busy building, I hardly ever hear anyone come and go :shify: Hopefully in six months we'll look for something with a bit of outside access but who wants to go out in a Scottish winter anyway!

You dont have to keep clarifying things, im sure we are all able to see things through the mist and know your capable of caring for her, if you didnt care you would have sold them before going overseas and not had a second thought! :hug:

When I had Smudge she would go into my neighbours house when I went on holiday and when I went in for him he would just lay in front of the fire and ignore me but when I left their house after having a chat he would follow me home. It's nice when you know they are content with other people but it is sooooo good to have them back. :Luv2:

Well, things could not be better! Dave is, as is his way, forcing himself, literally, on Chilli :evillaugh: This is mostly met with growls and hisses but she doesn't swipe him and doesn't run away so is just warning him that she's the boss. She even went up and started playing with him this morning, no noise ;D She's full of dribbly, purry cuddles and although a wee bit jealous Dave is getting over it, especially as he still gets me all to himself overnight in bed at the moment.
I bought a blanket for the carrier and when I got back I put it on the bed in the spare room thinking Chilli can always escape there as Dave never goes into that room. What do you know, who has started sleeping in there? Dave :evillaugh: Then it went all quiet a little while ago and I looked on the chairs, no Chilli or Dave, looked on my bed, no sign. Peeped into the spare room and there they were, the pair of them on the bed having a nice snooze ;D
