Theres a poem ...
its from a cat to its owner telling the owner to give another rescue a home once it has died (or it might have already died, cant remember)
does anyone know it ???? I cant find it
I need it for a someone who lost their cat and is thinking about getting another one but is worried about being disloyal

Stray Cat.
Oh, what unhappy twist of fate-
Has brought you homeless to my gate?
The gate where once another stood
To beg for shelter, warmth and food.
From that day I ceased to be
The Master of my Destiny
While he, with purr and velvet paw
Became within my house, the Law.
He scratched the furniture and shed,
And claimed the middle of my bed,
He ruled with Arrogance and Pride.
And broke my heart the day he died.
So if you really think, Oh Cat
I`d willingly relive all that
Because you come, forlorn and thin
Well....Don`t just stand there. Come on In.
Francis Witham.
Is it this one ?

MY LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
I too, would make a Will if I could write
To some poor, wistful, lonely stray
I leave my happy home
My dish, my cosy bed, my cushioned chair, my toy.
The well loved lap, the gentle stroking hand, the loving voice
The place I made on someone's heart.
the love that at the last
Could help me to a peaceful, painless end, held in loving arms.
If I should die
Oh, do not say
"No more a cat I'll have to grieve me by it's loss"
Seek out a lonely, unloved cat and give my place to him.
This is my legacy.
The love I leave behind.
T'is all I have to give.
Margaret Trowton
Is this the one?
