Title: Raw feeding cat with crystals in urine
Post by: blackcat on September 21, 2009, 21:48:13 PM
Does anyone happen to have any raw-feeding recipes for cats who have already been diagnosed as suffering from crystals in the bladder. I have a friend on another forum who has problems in that regard. Yes I could suggest she joins Purrs, but I kind of prefer to keep Purrs to myself for letting off steam at times so would rather not have any contacts here in Oz on board (I'm sure you know how I feel). So recipes please, caveats will be applied (like vet advice) but it would be helpful to be able to suggest something useful.

You don't need specific raw recipes for that condition as such, because simiply feeding a balanced raw diet will maintain the correct urine pH. This is one of the best sites about raw feeding (with info about doing home made) http://catinfo.org/ , this one is good for general raw feeding info http://rawfedcats.org/ and this is also a good site which has a great forum to link to for advice about raw feeding http://www.holisticat.com/
